Ok Warrior fans, Why doesn't Nelson play Ellis????
This kid can play! He is quick and moves like .......Gerald Swindle in boat traffic!
( now thats funny right there ) Seriously, Nellie needs to let this guy loose! I think you have a good 25 minutes of playing time for Monta during the mid part of the game, he will hold his own! It was good to see Harrington play well, but you can see Baron Davis just wasn't himself! We should of beat those guys last night, It looks like a seven game series to me......Barnes a Warrior next year? I hope Mullin is putting a contract together as we speak...We have a solid group of eight young and experienced guys, I hope we can keep this going for a while........
after watching last nite's game, I now believe the Warriors can indeed beat the Jazz. The Jazz had to play the game of their playoff life, to survive and sneak out with that win last night. Baron fer what ever reason, really only played 0ne quarter, that was the second. He plays the last 4 minutes like the 2nd, instead of kicking it out of the paint fer the 3 bombs, Williams fouls out and they win it at the free throw line.
Warriors need to do two things, protect the ball better when in the paint and on the fast break, and BOX OUT Boozer! Two small adjustment Nellie will make as the Warriors take game two then come home. I think Nellie made a mistake in going to Harrington too much down the stretch, just because of his early success. And Monta should be used more, as he can take the ball to the paint with anyone, and the Warriors need to do this to set up the kick out fer the three bombs. The Jazz know they are in a dog fight with a much faster, athletic team, and were handed a gift last night! The Warriors outplayed them fer 40 minutes last night. Unfortunately, the last 3 minutes, the Warriors stunk it up and gave it away! Both teams are really young, this should be more exciting than the Mav's series, and it looks like the Warriors have an excellent shot here too. We'll see.
What Nelly oughta really do is git Adonal Foyal in the game fer as long as it takes him to git 6 fouls and pound the shat outa Boozer! Play the Box 1 zone with that one guy(Foyal) shawdowing and leaning on Boozer the entire time on D.
The Warriors also need to keep the points in the paint down. Defensive rebounds wouldn't hurt either. What did the Jazz have 56 the other night and the Warriors 30 something. That right there stinks. Get to the free throw line. What am I missing??
They got to the free throw line all right, they just aren't any good at making them! Hell, at least Biedrins made all his last night! He got my approval on that 10mil contract. The rest of em, suck at the free throw line, and that's where the game was lost!
Yeah, I played ball all through elementry, Jr. High and High school in Richmond. At 6'3" when I was 12 years old, I played center early then as a Forward in high school at 6'4", simply cause I could not jump with the brothas. But I went to the hoop in the paint with out fear, simply cause I could shoot freethrows and knock em down at a 90% clip. Fer me, that was the easiest part of the game. The coaches had specific plays fer me with a pick, hook and jumper at the free throw line. Next to the open floor lay up, it's the easiest shot in the game. Amazes me how poor these NBA players are today, with the simplest shot in the game.
