Wastebook 2011

Post by Grumpy »

Tom Coburn singles out examples of our governments wasteful spending every year in what he calls his Wastebook. This kind of spending goes on even during a time when millions of Americans are losing their homes and what they have worked for all their lives. Washington just keeps on spending.
A few examples out of hundreds even thousands of spending bills

$18 million in aid to CHINA

$90 million to spur hiring and sales among Pakastani business's, $30 million of which was spent on Pakastani Mango farmers. The results were zero change.

This is a good one
$20 million to Pakistan for the remaking of Sesame Street into a Pakastani version

$113.000 to a company who collects and studies video games

$800.000 to subsidize a Ihops pancake house in a upscale Wash. D.C. neighborhood

Your tax money
