Chris is a solid guy and I don’t dont believe he behaved any different then any of us would have given the same situation. Some people just enjoy being confrontational. Seems like the guy chirping him in this video went out that morning looking for more then just a day on the water.

I'm not sure he was totally in the wrong. It appears he was 100yrds away.

The question is what is far enough from another tournament angler and what is far enough from a pleasure angler?

They are probably different distances. There is also the unwritten rules or perceptions of what is acceptable.

His first mistake was not acknowledging the other guy, asking him which way he was going to move, explaining he was in a major tournament and asking him if he could share the point and that he would go the opposite way as him. I've done that many times and it worked out for both parties.

Yeah, Zaldangerous just busted right in on the guy and came with the attitude like he was entitled to do what he wanted because he’s a big time angler. Then gets into a prolonged argument with the guy, as expected. Sure didn’t act like a pro. Weekend hothead more like it. Hopefully he learned something.

Locals on the spot first, oh well that’s how it goes. Instead of rolling in hard like an arrogant I own the lake SOB maybe ask to share the point first. If the guy says no move on and keep you mouth shut. All that talk about going to someone’s job and disrupting their work was just plain stupid. Guy is living the life most of us dream of and he’s got the nuts to give those guys an earful for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Man grow up and get over yourself!

Well you were wrong Chris He was there first it's pretty simple, doesn't matter if your in a tournament or not!!! have some respect for your follow anglers Dude..And the part about going to his work?? So let me get this straight because your in tournament and it's your job that gives you the right to fish any where you want to?? move on dude go to another point and let the guy fish.. Be a professional and show some class not a good look in my opinion...

I would say that if you're just a recreational fisherman and you're trying to go out fishing right in the middle of a Bassmaster Elite Series event, you're kind of a d**k. They're only there one week out of the entire year. If that's your home lake, take a week off. It will still be there after they're gone. Not to mention, they pound that lake so hard while they're there it usually takes a week or two for that lake to recover. They pretty much leave no stone unturned. It would be comparable to allowing recreational golfers to go out and golf in the middle of a PGA event.

ZalDickerous-that’s what it is! Guy there first calls the shots!
Come on u know that! -try and be civil when u roll up on someone like that-most of the time if they are not tournament fishing they will give u the spot if ur cool! If not move on and cycle that spot in later-lots of time on the delta nobody even knows there’s a tournament goin on until u show up and the lots full. There are lots of places to fish-get over it!
