what exactly is a hitch?

I have seen the hitch swimbaits but when doing a yahoo search to actually see a picture of this thing, there is nothing on it. can anyone shed some light on the subject. thanks in advance.

It basically looks like a cross (but it isn't) between a carp and a shiner and the CL bass love to eat them, but they also eat carp and anything else that swims in CL.

It is a native (I believe) fish to CL and they big girls love to feast on them.

I have seen a few hitch at clear lake and also the picture sort of proves it, so here is my question...

All the hitch i have seen are more silver with a blue back. Why are all the hitch baits green hues then? Do they have color cycles during the year?

Anyone know?
