I have a rod I bought a couple years ago that i don't use and i'm not really sure what to use it for.
It is a Daiwa Model # HL-S 661MLRB-G 6'6" MEDIUM LIGHT
LURE 1/4 - 3/4 LINE 8-20LBS
any help would be apprecated.

is it spinning or conventional? i would have to see the rod. spilt hot, dropshot, or small rip baits?

Casey, You could keep it and use it for a drop-shot rod ( just because it gives a weight line, doesn't mean you can't go down to 6lb. or even 4lb. line if you adjust your reels drag correctly), to throw tubes in the lakes, small jigs in the lakes, even throw small crank-baits or even split-shot.
Just some thoughts.

It is a bait caster...I have used it for drop-shotting Orville, but really didn't like the feel for it. I'll try small crank baits or small tubes and see if its worth keeping in the boat.
