What's up with my Spro frog?

Post by basswipe »

I have bought about a half dozen spro frogs. I love them a lot, but I have one complaint. The left legs on three of my frogs inserted into the body after mild use, but the right legs stay put in normal position. It can affect the walking sometimes, plus it is just too darn annoying to look at. Anyone with similar problems?

excuse me, it is the leg holder/collar (the short stub) that keeps goin into the body, it's not the skirt/legs

The problem is ...it is a Spro and NOT a SnagProof Frog.[joking] LMAO !!

Now, before getting pissy at me for that JOKE, try putting the frog in a pot of boiling water for a few seconds, and then straightening it back to how it should be.

Then rinse it under cold water so it "sets".

serves one...

LMAO!!

Hope this helps you.

Bill I use to be a Snag Proof type of guy but the Quality control just sucks right now coming out of snag proof. At least the spro legs are not strait but they are all not strait and it doesnt affect the walk of the bait.

PS good to see you on the boards BILL!

By chance, did you grab the rubber leg material and pull it away from the body of frog, maybe when trying to clear weeds from the bait? If you do this exactly what you described will happen, and as far as I can tell, once it happens you cant fix it. At least I couldnt.

Take a straightend pape clip, bend one end down about an eighth of an inch, insert it in the offending leg, and pull it back out..

My spro frogs do the same thing...it also bugs the crap out of me...But I've learned to live with it. I don't have any problems walking the frog, just looks awkward.

Jut remember to squeeze the water out of 'em every few casts...LOL

Hey Wild Bill,

I spoke to Harry at Snag Proof today and I am going to send back the frogs that I am having issues with and he is going to replace them.

He also told me that they did change the design of the perfect frog. And some of my issues are QA issues that should have been caught before going to package.

I appreciate you re-directing me to talk to the Owner of the company to give them a heads up and the opportunity to make it right.

Thanks!

I have two that way, just thought it was a birth defect. Bass still eat 'em up.

The River 2 sea has been my mainstay lately. The thinner legs seem to diminish greatly after a few bass.

The little weight in the Snag proof lasts about two bass, and it then disappears and changes it's castability dynamics. The other two do not lose them.

Let's play find the bass...

Here is the complete Rally report if anyone wants to kill a half hour, plenty of pics. Mostly of frog fish.

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

Great folks at SnagProof

Post by Wild Bill »

Ash,

When you posted that you were having some issues with some SnagProof products, I wanted to help you get satisfaction, and told you what to do.
While I am not officially on staff or salary, my name is ASSOCIATED with SnagProof [and proudly so].

I designed the "Wild Bull frog" color years ago.

I am glad that the fine folks at SnagProof took good care of you, like I KNEW THEY WOULD.

ribbit, ribbit...

Good frogging to you, buddy !!
