What's in your Jig box?
We all know how limited we are with space for tackle on a boat. Especially if you are fishing as a non-boater and are basically limited to a single tackle bag. I've got a plano 3600 series tote that has preformed dividers for 18 slots. I am using it for jigs and plastic trailers. What size and color jigs and size and color trailers would you fill it with. I fish primarily clear to stained waters here in Southern California and along the colorado river. Namely Diamond Valley Lake, Lake Perris, Lake Havasu, and Lake Mead. Remember, you've only got 18 slots.
Here's what I've got so far.
White Jigs 1/4 and 3/8 ounce (Chartruse double tail)
Brown Jigs 1/4 and 3/8 ounce (Cinnamon double tail)
Brown and Purple Jigs 1/4 and 3/8 ounce (Purple Brown double tail)
Black Jigs 1/4 and 3/8 ounce (Black with red flake double tail)
Brown and Orange Jigs 1/4 and 3/8 ounce (smoke with orange/red/green flake)
(Smoke with orange flake double tail)
I've got two spots left for odds and ends
All Jigs are pro-line jigs and all double tails are GYCB

Ditto on green pumpkin...
Maybe a bit more focus on green/ blue baitfish colors
Overall color selection trailers looks good
Work a bit of gold, a bit of sparkle or fish scale patterns into your white jigs. Make sure a couple of these are swimming jigs
Get some 1/2 oz. jigs
How the line attaches to the head can be critical, so eye direction on jigs is something I look at.
Think about football jigs for rock and other head shapes for brush, reeds and weed lines.
Get some single tail trailers
Get different sizes of trailers with different sink(float) rates
I use a lot of gyb, but other stuff is out there...about 4 or 5 colors max
Dial into some scent like Megastrike or whatever you have confidence in...
ProSoftBait glue for trailers the bass have pulled down
Some rattle collars and rattles
Scissors for trimming skirts
As season moves toward summer, you might stop getting bit on Brown /orange, then you'd have another slot.
See Cooch's site on jig fishing. read the articles and watch the videos. Bassdozer has some ideas on jig colors. I learned some good stuff by watching Dave Nollar one day at Perris. Good thing is you don't have find room for this in your box,
Bottom line, locating the bass, knowing what your jig is doing at any time and determining what action (fall rate) is provoking strikes will overcome color deficiency IMO.

Wow you fish light jigs!
My jig box looks mainly like this
3/4 and 1/2 oz jig heads for hula grubs with maybe 5 3/8th
1/2oz brown jigs
3/8th oz brown and black jigs
3/4oz brown purple jigs
Some green pumpkin some with green and orange. Most jigs are brown and black btwn in 1/2 and 3/8th 1 Bottle of purple Superpork tadpole and tadpole JR.
Really what else do you need? the white jigs are seasonal and I would replace out the 3/4oz jigs with the white jigs from spawn to fall. During the same time I may add some 1/4oz arkie jigs for swimmin single tail hulas in the tulles.
Remember color is lake dependant but a brown or black jig work on any lake at any time, some fish will prefer green or orange jigs but these are the exceptions not necessarily the rule.

Re: Wow you fish light jigs!
Well if you really want to know I don't even have a jig box. I carry to many to put them in a box. I carry 300 to 400 at 1 time. If there is a box to fit that many I would love to see it.

Way off...
I have the following:
7X light in sardine
6x Jr heavy in scrambled egg and dorado
YoYo4 heavy in chrome, and blu/white
Iron Man #5 in blu/chrome
Whoops...wrong lake!
My jig box is in such disarray I can't begin to tell you what's in there. I used to beat 'em up on 3/8 brown Cookers with Western Plastic craws in purple-blue or #11 purple pork. Tha't pretty light compared to what I throw now.
