Who in the bay area does rod re-wrapping?

Post by TDawg »

I have an older Gloomis rod that is starting to come apart and I would like to have it rebuilt. The rod blank its self looks as though it is chipped even though I have never dropped it. It is almost like there is a coating on the rod that is starting to flake off. I also have a Lamiglass spinning rod that is starting to do this as well.

Can anyone recommend someone to take it to?

Good fishing,

Todd Ushijima. He used to do the custom rod building out of Benecia Bait and Tackle, but now he has his own shop just a couple doors down. He does AWESOME work and is very affordable.

You'll have to get his contact info by calling Benicia Bait and Tackle and asking for his contact info.

I've had guides re-wrapped and custom saltwater rods built by Todd. He does very good work.

The owner retired and closed the business recently. Rod Rack was a great shop...

Wow, I haven't been there in about a year. Thanks for the update. He wrapped some my salty rods at the time and I couldn't been happier.
