SHHHHHHHHH James, I have reputation to uphold.

I can't wait for the cooler weather and a chance to build on what was learned last year. I was amazed to learn that those Folsom swine dine on those 2" worms, shakin really hard at about 85'.

A couple of lucky fish didn't erase the Dink Master status. We'll see what happens this year. See you on the water.

Sounds good Gator. It don't matter who's boat we use. The question is who's waypoints and map should we use?
I had to come back...I know...

Mike, I can't believe you found that pattern too. Here I am thinking I've finally found something no one else was going to target and you have to go spill it in a public forum.....

Gentlemen, gentlemen! Don't be giving away the Folsom Secrets!!!

Pretty soon everyone will know that if you drop down to 2-lb Floro and deadstick those two inch drop-shot worms (bitten in half) at 85-feet, you can limit out on 13-inch piglets in a mere 10 to 12 hours of fishing!!!

Man ... here come the December lake lice!

As Sieg pointed out, it's really the reigning TopNut who gets to choose the location of the next Nutcase Classic
Uh, from the reigning king of "Top Nut" challenges, when on God's earth did this become law? The day Dewayne won?   Hey, Santora, Stickbait, Angel, Korny, or any of the other distinguished winners of the past, have you ever got to chose where ya were to defend yer title? Nope!

My first pick woulda been ClearLake and we should do a crappie Nutcase up there, at least that way, everyone can catch a boat load of 3 pounder fer the day, that certainly will never happen at Folsom! HAR!HAR!HAR! But I say okay, I need two new Lamiglass Rods and will take em both! I've always sucked eggs on Folsom in December, right KB! Besides, I got one record to reclaim and anotheer to enhance! HAR!HAR!HAR!

Huh? I seem to recall a certain 12 or 13 pounder caught in December a couple years back, along with a buncha fat smallies, if they will let you get close enough to yur fishin' holes...

My memories of Folsom in December are mostly pretty good.

We're not falling for that one are we, Pat.
I think ol' Cooch is laying down the groundwork...the term "sand-bagging" comes to mind

the tournament weight that sTony and Cooch laid down a few years ago on Folsom in December is legendary...what was that weight again, Cooch? sTony?

We did one at Folsom, mothernature shut us down.

Post by BS'r »

High winds shut us down to a half day. We've also have winter NCC's at Melonies, Don Pedro, Berryessa, Oroville.

DeWayne voted for Shasta, so we'll see. That's a long haul for a one day NCC.

My vote would be at Orwood every time..... Breakfast and cover from bad weather. The participation is always bigger on the Delta.

Gator you know we are always looking for a New Years Day event to fish...just a thought. Folsom will be fun in December and now some of you Delta rats can ask for a spinnin' rod from Santa. right Cooch

You will need one in December to even catch a fish on Folsom...right Cooch   Anybody know where I can get some one ton jigs poured?

Oh and Dewayne you should be used to following that Mercury of mine, have you ever seen it from any other angle other than going past you???? Won't you have to fish as a non boater anyway, Draper won't be here to save you guys!!!

Yea I guess I have fallen down the list of Folsom guys the past couple of years but you guys might remember what happened a couple years ago when ol MC said I couldn't catch them out there anymore. Now I may have a reason to spend some time out there this fall, I guess I have to take Korny at least once anyway. Oh and the guy that made the list of best Folsom anglers has his own set of issues to deal with these days.

And yes Dewayne we will give some coverage of this event on Ultimate Bass, hell if that Evinrude of yours passes me I might give you the whole hour

Tell me where to send the rods Gator. Oh and I will have a spinning rod in the boat don't worry, it will be in John Maes hand.

29+ pounds of Folsom largemouth and one spot! The four 4 pound smallies we caught Pat, weren't good enough ta make this photo opt! HAR!

I'm all in fer this one, let's not do New Years Day, a lot of us fish the annual Young Ladies benefit held here on the river. Hey KB, WTF is a "spinning" rod? You guys holdin out on ole Cooch with some fancy, dancy new technique up there? I only need one rod up there, be the same rod I took to McClure! HAR!HAR!HAR! And I got plenty of them jig heads for ya buddy, although it's been so long since I been on a lake, we may have to break out the Brillo pads and scrape away the rust, from you AND them jigs heads! HAR!

I'm ALL IN!

Well, here is some history on the NCC and how we got around to the TopNut picking the location of the next one and possibly why Cooch has never been allowed to do such.

We used to have three NCC's a year; one winter, one spring and one summer. The spring NCC really never attracted much of a crowd. We've had them on Amador, Berryessa, Oroville, New Melones and Folsom. The Amador Nutcase was by far the most popular of the ones we had. It was also the birthplace of this thing we do every summer called the Rally. The original idea for us hosting a Rally out West was conceived of by TopCat from Utah and we've tried to pretty much run one ever since. But the Spring NCC's never really caught on and were eventually dropped.

So now we have two events of this nature a year and one has a pre-determined location, that being the Rally @ Clear Lake. We tried to run a rally on the Delta and most said they prefered it to be on Clear Lake. In truth the location of the Winter rally used to be pre-determined also but folks flat out got tired of getting skunked on the Delta in what was typically a freezing cold Janaury so they started this tradition of asking the Rally winner to pick the location of the winter nutcase classic. Korny got to do so last year and picked Oroville.

Now it might be that Ol' Cooch hasn't picked a location for an NCC because he hasn't graced us with his presence at a Rally@Clear Lake in some time and hasn't won one for even longer and since the tradition came about.

So, this event held at Oroville, who was that event's TopNut? And when does he git ta pick? Hmm, funny thing here, Gator picked, and that man ain't won squatt, much less even caught a bass over 3 pounds! Then the leash is put around Dewayne's neck and he's walked right into the same pond. This startin ta sound like a Good Ole Boy's Commie Dictator Riecht to me! HAR! HAR! HAR!

Wadeva! I'll see y'all at Folsom.

Ever since Cooch did his PoleDance at the Delta Rally three years ago, he's been to busy flying all over the country.
Cooch has trained many girls, including Demi Moore.
The Japanesse have made him an honorary Saint, or was that Rome.
To hard to tell, But one thing is known Cooch can also catch a Bass...sometimes.

Well, I wasn't there, but I want to say that Mike Tremont was the TopNut from Oroville and SOCB Hawghunter was the NumbNut and if I give my memory a chance I might even remember who got the rest of the nuts. As far as I'm concerned its Dewayne's decision to make. I want to say, once again running by memory, that Oroville was picked with a lot of influence being made parties other then Korny as well, hahaha.

Hey it's all suppose to be in good fun and the spirit of the thing is getting folks together for some fun fishing and good eats! That's what a Nutcase Classic in based upon and I really don't care where it is, I'll do my best to be there. Last year and several times in the past I'd been running around to one show or another and was unable to attend.

Hey, for what its worth, you guys can pick the location of every Nutcase event that gets set and you can do one in the spring as well and you can pick the location of the Rally as well as long as you're willing to set them up and run them also. I have no problem with that at all, hahaha.

sTony

PS - That lil ol thumbnail pic you posted just didn't seem to capture them thar Folsom Hawgs well enuf so I fixed your post Bruddah, hahaha.

It's pretty simple

Post by Gator »

I opened the discussion - since there had been none. I offered to run the event. Take care of all the details. I thought Folsom because it is close to my house and I don't fisht here enough in the winter. Best of both worlds. If Dewayne makes a statement that Folsom it is, then I will proceed. If he chooses elsewhere, I will still offer to run it. Just let us know so we can get the planning and prep in order. I have to travel for work from Sep 21 to Oct 9, then again on early December, so I'd like to get things in place asap.

Let's not make this a big conspiracy, I just wanted to get the ball rolling.

Gator,

Thanks for stepping up. I appreciate all the work you do for us LAZY Nutcases. Where ever Dewayne chooses is fine with me...I thought he said OK to Folsom somewhere in the thread. I just look forward to the fun and frivolity :D and of course the chance to win the esteemed NumbNut award

Mr. Bonham did say
I will see you all at Folsom. I guess I can always follow KB if he shows up with that slow Mercury.

Now I just have to figure out what to make for the potluck.
Now if he will officially reconfirm his aforementioned statement, I will get on to the permit procurement and settin up of this here event!!

If he says it is a go, I will contact each generous person who has offered something for a raffle. Oh shoot, I gotta go get raffle tickets. Anyhoo, lemme know DEWayne - so I can get 'r done!!
