Wild West being sued
Wild West being sued
I am surprised this is not already posted but a former sponsor of Wild West, Bridgport Foods has filed a class action law suit against Wild West on behalf of the anglers who were not paid.

Re: Wild West being sued
I see in the future former owner of the Wild West filing bankruptcy chapter 7 protection.
And you know how that works. Poof problems gone.
They'll get over it.

Its a gamble when you fish those tournament here in ca how many big tournament orgs. Have come and gone in the last 30 years. The guy that owned wild west is going to protect himself im sure through bankrupty. Sure the anglers will lose out. But that's just the court system we ha e today.
Give BAM 5 years see where they stand in term
Angler attendants its new but new wear off. Here in ca you better have major backed sponsors to help keep your tournament afloat.
There no interest for major sponsors to come to ca. Nothing here for them. And its not going to change. There no major pro circuit in ca. In fact there no major pros here fishing in just Ca. Just by putting the word pro in front of your name doesn't make you one. Especially in Ca. Like I said before dont quit your day job.
ITS Ca.
P.S. Rmanzo Its not going to have any effect on me what so ever.
Oh one more thing I have a question about Rmanzo why didn't BAM bring there traveling side show Pro/Am to either big mother lode lakes.
Everything is in northern ca.and Tri cities
Do you have and answer for that one.
Dont tell me because they draw better up north or there no hotels here to stay in.
Back in the day Pedro had 200 boat fields. Every other week.

Re: Wild West being sued
Addressing the topic of why BAM did not choose a Motherlode Lake in our first year’s season.
Selecting a suitable lake for a bass tournament is a complex task that involves considering multiple factors. Our decision was not a result of avoiding the Motherlode lakes, but rather a careful evaluation of what we believed would be the best choice for our first-year’s events.
While we chose different lakes for our first-year’s events, we have not ruled out the possibility of hosting a tournament in the Motherlode lakes in the future. We understand the value and potential they offer, and we remain open to exploring those opportunities.

Addressing BAM and where we will be in five years.
BAM (Bass Angler Magazine) and our exciting venture into hosting bass tournaments in 2024. We understand that there may be some curiosity about how our journey will unfold over the next five years. We want to take a moment to assure you that while our tournament hosting endeavor may be new, our presence and reputation in the industry are far from it.
BAM has a long-standing and stellar reputation within the world of bass fishing. We have been a trusted source of information, insights, and resources for passionate anglers for many years. Our commitment to delivering top-notch content and supporting the angling community has always been unwavering.
It's important to recognize that our decision to host bass tournaments is an extension of our dedication to the sport. We understand the expectations and standards that come with hosting successful tournaments, and we are fully prepared to meet them.
Before casting any doubts about the success of our tournament circuit, we encourage you to consider our history and reputation within the industry. We have consistently delivered on our commitments and have built strong relationships with anglers, partners, and communities alike.
In the coming years, we will leverage our experience, knowledge, and passion for bass fishing to create an exceptional tournament series that caters to the needs and desires of anglers and the companies that support our industry.

Merry Xmas to all. Not sure how MLF/Toyota is not considered a major trail? They have a national fishoff, and a way to climb up to the next level. They have GIANT Sponsors as big as any trail? BPS and Mercury are still a Western sponsor out here not just back east. Won Bass will be very big this year with all events in Ca or Az/Nevada. Now also with Won you have a chance to make the Classic and fish the Opens. The reason there are no Top Level BASS or BPT events here are 2 fold. They get paid to go to the venues they attend and the customer base they both have dont want to spend the money coming out here to get out of their comfort zone. IMO you dont need to travel back East to prove your a good Pro. We have very diverse fisheries and planty of great anglers.jiggin4bass wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 12:39 pm Its a gamble when you fish those tournament here in ca how many big tournament orgs. Jiggin! Rmanzo said it right! Sometimes you do say some stupid stuff! But! This is a free speech society, so go ahead and speak! I get to Laugh my ARSE off at times and the comedy is FREE! if we couldn't laugh at each other, what kind of life would it be? I read North Korea had an 11 day period recently where NO ONE was allowed to laugh, smile or be happy?? Anyway, thanks for the YUCKS! " YOU WILL GET OVER IT"
