Wild West Pre-fishing?..Join Us and "Double Down"

In blackjack it's called "doubling down"...which simply allows players an opportunity to "double up" on their money and take home a bigger piece of the pie.

Well, this same principle could apply to those planning to pre-fish New Melones this Saturday for the upcoming Wild West Tournament Trails Pro-Am event coming to the lake on Feb 28th, as this weekend represents the last day to pre-fish the lake for that event!

All qualifying Wild West pre-fishing anglers wishing to participate in our opening season event, are welcome to register with us this Saturday at Glory Hole Sporting Goods from 4am-6am, and enjoy limited membership fees of just $10!

Blast-off for the event will commence promptly at 7:00am from Glory Hole Marina.

Chet Hammonds Memorial Big Fish Award

Many of you may be too young to have known him, but Chet Hammonds, former owner of C&C Marine was an industry giant that dedicated his life to ensuring that all anglers in the fishing fraternity were taken care of, and played a SIGNIFICANT part in helping to make the Future Pro Tour the organization it is today.

To this end, it is our honor to dedicate the Big Fish Award at this event, to his memory.

Rest in peace Chet...my good friend.

Youth Angler League is ready to go!

The exclusive Youth Angler League, presented by Gone Fishin' Marine, Daiwa, and R2Sea, is set and ready to go for all youth - even those without a boat, to come join in on all of the fun!

This exclusive division - FOR NO ENTRY FEE, gives kids the opportunity to compete against each other, and win CASH for 1st thru 3rd places, AND qualify to fish in the year-end FPT Classic championship event to win a new Bass Tracker "Classic" XL boat package!

And speaking of doubling down...

When Sacramento youth Arkantes Ly registered for the Youth Angler's League at the 2020 ISE show, he had no idea that his enthusiasm for fishing would also turn into his very first competitive win, as he used his Youth Angler League membership to participate in last weekend's NorCal Trout Angler's Challenge season opener held at San Pablo Dam, capturing 1st place honors in a total field of 240!

Young Arkantes says he's now "on a roll" and wants to see if he can "double-down", and repeat his performance on largemouth bass in this weekend's event at New Melones!

Good luck young man!
