I remember fishing Naci in the 80's in a club. I was weigh master and I remember several 13"... 5 fish limits under 5 pounds. With only 3 fish caught total Castaic is fishing like Casitas right now...BAD....Casitas if you are in 30 feet of water the flooded brush is within 8- 10 feet of the surface. Short of dynamite I am currently a 1 trick pony and can only manage 1 or 2 fish in a full day of junk fishing. All the water was good for the fish and bad for fishing ...And next year when we are all sick of hearing about El Nino it will be full with 72% of the bottom coated in brush, trees, willows. Much Like Cachuma's 98% of bottom structure it makes everything much harder and it takes a lot of clubs out of my hands as there is very little that can be used effectively.....There isn't any aquatic vegetation because there isn't anything but slime'd undergrowth in the shallows with nowhere for it to grow. I hear from North to South it is tough.tough, tough, right now.I hope the Mods don't make this into a fish report as I already put one in. I broke 2 ribs and evidently it was perfect timing as the last 6 weeks have been horrible according to the guys at our gate.
