On Castaic I would bet on the Triple Trout, but you can never count out the Hudd. It might also be won on a lesser used bait like a Stocker Trout or perhaps a Rago Tool.

The event is at Casitas not Castaic....and as for which bait, Big bait=Big Fish....Tripple Trout or Big Jig. But Then it is Sponsored by Huddleston so it will end up being a hudd....

Well I can tell you what wont win it, a BBZ cause the one guy that uses them wont fish it. I also predict the conditions will be tough so the guys throwing the bigger swimbaits will blank. Those fish have grown wise to the TT and Hudds. The winning bait will either be a 6'mattlures trout or a 6'hudd but there is a big possability that the top bait makers have some custom baits in the hands of the best sticks out there. Also just becuase Thigpen is fishing it the Stocker trout has a good shot.

I remember fishing a Cal Bass Federation there back in 90,92 somewhere there and Ron Cervenka, showed up with something new, it was a Huddleston and hard to get. I believe he won that tournament that day with a Hud, and I believe it will be won on a Hud. It was about the same time of year.
