That may be true - the last time I fished against him in a tourney he won - and I came in second - on HIS home pond. I may have a chance here

If my boat is done i'm in, otherwise I'll come by and bring some Hydrate2o and some VooDoo baits. Heck if graves can catch 3 fish for 62.5 lbs I ought to be able to catch 1. , Have fun at the casino party, but watch out for that Dewayne fella. James ...your brave inviting this bunch to your house. Do yourself a favor and send the rest of your family down to your new resort for the day; or risk scaring them forever.

Merry Christmas,

The scary thing is - a purported bass fisherman from the Sandmound area of the Delta knows my home lake better than I do. Guess I need to get on the water more.

BTW Cooch, when you see me in "your area", don't worry, you'll be catchin them, I am just watchin

Unfortunately, it doesn''t look like I'm going to make it. My pancreatitis has kicked in again and I have personal issues at home, so I'm going to have to lay low for a few days. I know ya'll are going to have a great day. Just wish I could be there with you. Maybe next time. Stay safe and God bless ya'll.

Gator,

Could you give me a time line for the Pot luck. I going to bring a tall smoker to cook the Tri-tips on. It takes a few hours to slow cook'em and I want them done on time.

Is it like, snack after the first round. Then the Pot luck at the end?
Also is there going to be someone who can watch our stuff?

Thanks, Will Mathers

Here is the planned timeline of events.

5:00 am til we are done - check in at Susie's cafe.
Safe light til 10:00 am - first session
10:00 - 10:30 - First weighin and partner pairings for 2nd session
10:30 - 1:30 pm - Second Session
1:30 pm til ??? Final weigh-in, potluck, awards, raffle, BS sessions, etc.

These times are subject to change at the whim of the crowd LOL. The plan is to be finished fishing at 1:30, with eating around 2:00.

We do not have anyone designated to watch over our things while we are out. If we have enough participants, I am going to fish solo and will only be on the water for about 2 hours each session. I think if we have a group of trucks/trailers with your smoker in the middle, we should be fine.

I represent ESOX Rods, Fishin' Magician Tackle Co., Put a Sock on It and Toad Thumper Bass Jigs. I will have a booth at the NutCase Classic this Saturday so that you can look at the products that these companies manufacture.

ESOX Rods manufactures light and sensitive rods that are reported to cast up to 20% further than their competitors. They also offer an outstanding pro staff program. Their web site is www.esoxfishingrods.com.

Fishin' Magician Tackle Company offers the Voo-Doo Bait. The Voo-Doo is the hottest new bait on the water. Their web site is www.fishinmagiciantackle.com.

Put a Sock on It provides rod protectors and lure keepers that protect your rods, lures and boat upholstery. The rod protectors and lure keepers come in many sizes to fit your different rods and lures. Their web site is www.putasockonit.biz.

Toad Thumper Bass Jigs manufactures a wide variety of high quality jigs for the tournament and recreational anglers. The jigs are made with Mustad and Gamakatsu hooks. They can be reached at toadthumperbassjigs@junco.com.

I will provide 50% discount certificates from ESOX Rods, rod protectors and lure keepers from Put a Sock on It, Voo-Doo Baits from Fishin' Magician Tackle Co. and jigs from Toad Thumper Bass Baits for the raffle.

I'm not much of a cook so I'll bring some cookies for dessert.

Sean - As of right now we are at 14 boaters and 11 non. That is not counting me as a boater. I may fish with Scott, that way we can come in early for both sessions to do the weighin.

I think we are pretty balanced for participation right now. Always better to have a couple of extra boats then not enough. I am sure we will aslo have those who just show up for the event.

FYI - I was out at Folsom today (not fishing, just made a run out to check the ramp situation). We are going to be using the low water ramp. When you enter the gate, make the first right, at the intersection make a right, then make your first left and the road will take you to the low water ramp.

See you all at Susie's!!

Gator:

I believe if we go up to the new ramp and the gazebo area there is plugs in the restrooms that we may be able to run extension cords out of. That way we are out of the mud and out of the way. Just a thought you are the boss.

I figured we would go to the Gazebos after the final weigh in. We are going to do the first weigh in at the ramp so that everyone can get in and back out as quickly as possible.

I was unaware of power over there. I'll run back over this afternoon and confirm it.

Hey Mark -

Come on out and play. We are looking at about 30 people. Remember, this is a potluck, so there will be many different items. I would think a 3-4 loaves of french bread or garlic bread would be a good contribution.

There are outlets in the restrooms and they were hot as of today. I will bring a 50 foot extension cord and a power strip so those that are bringing hot plates will have something to use.

Also, I am bringing my camp stove and a 5 gallon propane tank. When the stove use is finished, I will hook up the 15K BTU propane heater!!

Need a little help – trying to decide if I should drive down the morning of or the night before. I figure it will take me 2 hours to make the drive and to be there at Susie's cafe by 5:00 am I would have to get up around 2:00 am. By the first weigh-in I will be ready to go back to bed.

What is the close hotel/motel to Susie's café? If need be I will rough it at a Motel 6.

NOt in need of boats at the moment SOCB - I will have mine in reserve if needed. It may sit at the ramp with the cover on it if we have enough boats.

Ken - Won't even touch that one - I was responding to a request. That's it. I worry about your mind sometimes.

Mike - If you come out, I'll guarantee you the first session with KB. After hearing three hours about Tritons you'll wish you had made a different choice Image

Now don't go runnin my sponsor loyalty down there Mr. Gator. I am checking your sponsor list and find you have a face mask company....very appropriate  I think TNT is the Mexican place in Lakeport so you can drink and prefish all at the same time, it's a wonder you don't have Bushnell for that sponsorship. And now I see you have flylady.com. I hope that isn't your cross dressing ballet club that you have as a sponsor.

I know Seig had the Misty's and now I guess he needed a Sweaty so you got that one too

Cmon up Mike and we will spend the first 3 hours talking about how much money Tony is paying Gator.

See you there Lee and thanks for getting those shows up!

Marty,
I've done the reverse trip by leaving the Folsom area and driving down to Orwood. It can be done, but its brutal to get up that early. My buddy Scott has posted info about a couple of motels in this area that are boater friendly.

Heritage Inn - Roseville
Best Western - Roseville.

At that time of the morning, the commute from Roseville to Susie's is 15-20 minutes. Personally, I'd rather drive up the night before, sleep in a little longer, and not rush. Makes the day that much more enjoyable.

See ya Saturday,

The correct address is 8595 Auburn-Folsom Rd (as Mike said).

Its on the s/e corner of Auburn-Folsom Rd & Douglas Blvd (right behind the AM/PM).

Its about a 1/2 mile to the Granite Bay entrance from Susie's Country Oaks Cafe. There will be a "self registration" slot at the gate.
