The inaugural Arizona Region of the Western Outdoors News (WON) bass fishing tournament held on Roosevelt Lake last month was a huge success. Congratulations to the top three winning teams: 1st place K. Howeden-G Understiller with 14.17 lbs., 2nd place J. Kirkpatrick (fished solo) with 11.14 lbs., 3rd place S. Schattenbeng – D. Kruezen with 10.92. The AZ Tournament Director, Tracy Purtee and his volunteer staff are receiving great feedback from anglers and fans about the very well organized tournament. According to Purtee, the “Arizona Region of WON has one of the best paybacks of all tournaments and 100% of all options pots are paid back”.
