WON Pro/Am - Roosevelt Lake

Post by cowboy2 »

Just a reminder, the WON Pro-Am Circuit will be launching out of Cholla Recreational Site at Roosevelt Lake, Saturday and Sunday, May 5 & 6. There will volunteers at the ramp each morning and afternoon to assist the anglers and manage traffic. We’re going to use pick up trucks to move anglers up and down the mountain. We’re trying to keep foot traffic to a minimum due to the truck traffic on the road. Please be very careful at all times around the ramp and parking lots. In the mornings there will be free coffee and donuts at the registration tent and in the afternoons, for a small donation, there will be hot dogs and soda pop. KCMA radio will entertain you with music from their boom box up until the weigh-in starts. From the calls received at the WON office this week, it appears several anglers did not realize the deadline to register was April 27th. The WON Tournament Director, Billy Egan has graciously agreed to PERSONALLY pay the $100 late entry fees for anglers who register between now and close of business Thursday, May 3rd. The check-in and registration will be Friday, May 4th from 2-5 PM at the Mazatzal Hotel and Casino in Payson. The pre-tournament meeting and partner pairing will begin promptly at 6 PM and attendance is mandatory. The awards ceremony will also be at the Mazatzal on Sunday, May 6th beginning at 5 PM. Free soft drinks will be provided at each event and the of course the deli and Cedar Ridge restaurant will be open. The Cedar Ridge will be offer a 10% discount on their Friday all you can eat fish fry. Pick up your discount coupon during check-in/registration. This is shaping up to be another great Roosevelt Lake tournament and we look forward to seeing lots of you again this year. If you have questions or need additional information feel free to contact the WON office at 949-366-0030 or the WON AZ Region Tournament Director, Tracy Purtee at 929-978-3659. Good luck to all anglers.
