California Landowners, Grape Growers and Government Partner to Protect Juvenile Coho
State representatives recently recognized landowners, grape growers, agencies and environmental groups for their part in the development of voluntary programs to save water and protect local fish species in the Russian River watershed during the drought. The recognition took place at a press conference on Friday, Oct. 2 at the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens in Santa Rosa.

Reward Offered for Return of Sturgeon Tags from California Delta
State and federal fisheries officials are asking for public assistance and offering a $20 reward for the return of each satellite tag from green sturgeon. The satellite tags, which are programmed to release from the fish after a predetermined time, are most likely to be found along the open ocean coastal portions of San Francisco and San Mateo counties, and the shores and waters of San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, Suisun Bay and the Delta.

Rayovac FLW Series Rules, Dates Announced
FLW announced today the Rayovac FLW Series rules, entry fees and payouts for the 2016 season. The season will again consist of three events in each of the five divisions – Central, Northern, Southeastern, Southwestern and Western – along with the no-entry-fee Rayovac FLW Series Championship to be held on the Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri. The top 40 pros and co-anglers who fished all three qualifiers in each U.S. division advance to the no-entry-fee FLW Series Championship for a shot at winning $95,000, including a Ranger Z518C with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard. New for 2016, second- through fourth-place awards have been substantially increased for the championship with pros earning $25,000 for second, $20,000 for third and $15,000 for fourth and co-anglers earning $12,500 for second, $10,000 for third and $7,500 for fourth.
