Attention Delta Rats...the Coors Light Invitational Championship is here!

Nobody has to tell a “delta rat” about the quality of bass that can be found in mid-February on the California delta, as most know that during this time, a ton of big females will move up into the shallows, and can be easily taken on fat jigs, big swimbaits, and big Senkos…so the time of year for this event could not be better.

Nevertheless, the team of Steve Doty (Jonesboro, Ark.) and Tracy Robinson (Gadsden, Ala.) sacked a limit that weighed 23.46 pounds and have established a lead of more than five pounds over second place team of Derek Duvall and Kylie Scavona of Louisiana.

LAKE NORMAN SET TO HOST FLW TOUR INVITATIONAL EVENT PRESENTED BY LOWRANCE

“Lake Norman is one of the most diverse fisheries that we can visit,” said Quaker State pro Matt Arey of Shelby, North Carolina, who has 20 career top-10 finishes in FLW competition. “There are a ton of different options to catch bass, and anglers have won tournaments all over the lake. They’ll be catching them as deep as 40 feet and as shallow as six inches. I think you’re going to have to hit a lot of different areas and mix up patterns to win.
