Agua Fria closure on Lake Pleasant
It has been a successful bald eagle breeding season on Lake Pleasant. Bald eagle nestlings are flying and about ready to head north for the summer and the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department lifted its boating closure on the Agua Fria river into the lake today (Friday, June 15).

21-Pound Striper From Lake Pleasant
David Campbell of Peoria, Ariz. caught a 21-pound striper at Lake Pleasant on a Kastmaster. The first head shake gave it away. This wasn't a log or boulder David Campbell had hooked Thursday afternoon. Whatever gulped his 1-ounce Kastmaster spoon at Lake Pleasant was alive.

SHURA AND ARMEL WIN WWBT ARIZONA TEAMS AT PLEASANT
The Wild West Bass Trail (WWBT) kicked off their 2017 season of the Arizona Teams division with its first stop at Lake Pleasant. The event’s 138 anglers launched out of the Lake Pleasant Harbor Marina on Saturday, October 15, following a five-day off-limits period.
