The Old Timers say that the biggest bass always bite during a Solar Eclipse. Brandon and I play a little fishing game to see who can catch the most bass in a pond during the total solar eclipse of 2017. Hope you enjoyed this silly little fishing challenge and I have to say that other than the fishing, the Eclipse was a bit anti-climatic. I guess we will wait until the next one in a few years.

Pond study at Salamonie Lake
Families are invited to get muddy and explore the diversity of life at the Wildlife Management Pond at Salamonie Lake, Aug. 1. The pond study meets at 10:30 a.m. at Salamonie Interpretive Center and runs for about an hour. Participants should wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty.
