The heat is on for the world's largest recreational fishing trade show
Alexandria, Va. – ICAST, the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, is the world's largest recreational fishing trade show. For the people who have made their passion for fishing their profession, attending this show is about generating new energy and new business. In its 59th year, ICAST is taking place July 12-15, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Registration and details are available atwww.ICASTfishing.org.
ICASTICAST Week 2016, the largest show yet, will host close to 600 exhibitors, a 650,000-square-foot show floor, a week-long lineup of business and networking events and more than 13,000 attendees. Produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), the trade group that represents the sportfishing industry, ICAST is the venue for launching new fishing products and setting industry trends.
For the fourth year, ICAST and the International Fly Tackle Dealer show (IFTD), the fly tackle-specific show produced by the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA), are co-locating in the Orange County Convention Center on the same days with the same show hours. A new attraction on the ICAST show floor is a Marine Accessories Pavilion, hosted by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA).
"We've been hearing nothing but positive feedback about adding the Marine Accessories Pavilion to an already total-fishing experience with the co-location with IFTD," said Trade Show Director Ken Andres. "This is a win-win-win for ASA, AFFTA and NMMA and we're all looking forward to the biggest trade show ever this July in Orlando."
Andres further said, "I suggest that everyone check both the ICAST show schedule and the entire ICASTfishing.org website for everything that's taking place during ICAST Week 2016."
ICAST Super Tuesday is Simply - Super
Launched two years ago, Super Tuesday is one of the fastest growing segments of industry's trade show.
Main attractions on this year's Tuesday schedule include an Opening Night Concert at the convention center with Nashville's newest star, Cole Swindell. USA TODAY named his performance as the "Biggest Moment" of the night during this year's CMA Music Festival. Open only to ICAST and IFTD badge holders, this is a concert that is not to be missed. Tickets are $30 and are available through ICAST/IFTD registration and will also be available onsite. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m.
Lake Toho Marina is the site for the ICAST Cup – the industry bass fishing tournament produced by ICAST and FLW. The tournament brings together professional anglers with representatives from the industry and outdoor media for some friendly competition and bragging rights until next year's event.

There's also the Bass & Birdies Classic, a golf tournament combined with a fishing competition, at the beautiful Celebration Golf Club, presented by Florida Sportsman. All these events take place on Tuesday, July 12.
Pre-registration is required for the ICAST Cup and the Bass & Birdies Classic.
Shuttle buses, courtesy of Experience Kissimmee, will run continuously from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. outside of the A/B Lobby of the Orange County Convention Center West Building.
Proceeds from the ICAST Cup and the Bass & Birdies tournaments support ASA's Keep America Fishing® angler advocacy campaign. "ICAST is a global event that brings fishing industry representatives together and reminds us why our sport and our industry are so special," said ASA President and CEO Mike Nussman.
