Bainbridge, Ga.- MHG is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Rat-L-Trap Open at Lake Seminole that is taking place on October 18, 2015, in Bainbridge, Ga. This event is open to the public with a $100 entry fee per boat with an optional big bass pot for $20. The first place prize is $3,000.00 based on 150 boats and is 100% payback.
During the event, participating fishermen will be limited to using products made by Bill Lewis Outdoors. Bill Lewis Outdoors, the producer of Rat-L-Trap lures, is the company who makes the first and only one hundred percent biodegradable fishing lure using MHG's PHA.
"We've heard a lot of positive feedback from the fishing industry regarding our biodegradable lures we have produced with Rat-L-Trap," stated Scott Tuten, Chief Marketing Officer of MHG. "Biodegradable lures are a promising way to conserve our water quality and to provide future generations with the ability to enjoy this sport the same way we do. Sponsoring a tournament like this is a great way to raise awareness about alternative material for fishing lures.
Bassmaster Elite Pro Angler, JTodd Tucker will be at the tournament using the biodegradable Rat-L-Trap lures. Tucker has tested the lures on multiple occasions nationwide and determined that it performs equal to if not better than the traditional plastic Rat-L-Trap lures. During the open, he will be available to share his firsthand experience with this newest technology.
The Rat-L-Trap manufactured using MHG's PHA was debuted at the ICAST Tradeshow in July. During the event, Tucker spoke about his experience with the lure. The first footage of the PHA Rat-L-Traps being used during a fishing excursion can be viewed here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvUazxs9x48).
