I use containers that I can see through where I can see what I’m looking for. I mark the outside of the container in two different ways. This first way is with label embossing tape that I pick up at Wal-Mart for less then $5 bucks. I use different color tapes as a code to make locating what I’m looking for easer. I also tear off the label from the package and put it in side the container where I can see what it is. The containers are about good for everything I use except the bigger items such as 5/0 hook are bigger. There I use sealable (zip-lock) plastic bags. I use color eclectic tape to mark the outside of the bag with the item inside.
The only bad thing with this system is that the containers cost a dollar each. I get them at The Container Store (containerstore.com).
Set up

Here is the completed set up – I chose to go with a smaller plastic storage box with adjustable dividers two lock hinges. I have one set up for the Delta and Clear Lake and one for Lakes (not shown). Plus it fits in my tackle bag when I’m on someone’s else boat.
Completed

I also have a bigger storage box with bottles (med containers) I use when I buy bulk and keep them until I need plus some of the smaller containers that I’m not using.
Large Storage

Here is Todd setup – it is bigger and more for lakes but he keep his in the boat and has a hard time moving to the back seat!
