Cheaters... Tournament on Delta 4/3

Post by Kilroy »

I was wondering who won the Folsom Bass Club Tournament on the Delta yesterday 4/3. I was wondering if it was the boat I saw getting a hand off of some fish from another boat in River's End Marina? Are you serious? Come on guys, cheating? I hope you get caught!!!

If Folsom Bass did not have a tournament yesterday, I'm sorry if offended anyone from that club. Thats the club tournament they said they were fishing. I should have followed the turds to their weigh in and turned them in to the director... They said they launched from Ladds if anyone knows of a tounament that launched there yesterday.

They lied, Did you get CA numbers? What type of Boats? I'm staff for ABA and would like to know.

The ones who received the fish were in a white ranger with gray stripes. The front of the boat was a white male, blue rain gear and red hat. Both men in the Ranger were approximately 30ish. The rear was a white male with green rain gear and a blue hat. The giver of the fish was a solo white male in a white Champion with reddish orange stripes with an older Mercury. He was older maybe 40ish.

Why don't any of the organizations have lie detector tests anymore. I would rather pay a little extra for the service then to lose my money to a cheater!!!!! It seems that this is slowly becoming a problem from west to east!

THis is dissgracefull......There is no words to discribe what I am feeling. I hope these guys are reconized and get caught! These are the kinda guys that give this sport a bad name. If they are caught there names should be published and they should be banned from all events for the next ten years. There is no excuse for this.....

It amazes me more and more to see this kind of stuff going on. I use to have this idea that fellow fishermen were good guys that helped each other. Must be a b!tch to live with cheating to win each day. To know you suck and have to cheat to win anything. Major props to the guys that are taking a stand on this stuff. Maybe these kind of guys will get caught and the next time YOU fish a tournament you'll know you didnt donate to a cheaters fund :!:

Really it should not be very hard to figure out who they were. ABA had 49 boats weigh fish and AC-E had 23. If they were willing to cheat, chances are they are in the money.

Must be anew type of team tournament where it's a 4 man team where you weigh best 5 ????? Different concept of the old 2 man team.

There should be a lie detector test on all tournaments for the top three with money envolved. If they test for steriods in Baseball, drugs in football and basketball then in are sport they should do test. When money is involved, I hate to say, someone will cheat. Its sad, but true. get rid of the cheaters by lie dectotor test.

Here we go got to have a witness BS, dont no how it works in North Cal but in So Cal no witness, no DQ.

You can have guys fishing outside legal areas or speeding in the mornings ( lakes down here have speed limits) so draw means everything. Basically you could turn some one for beating you to your fish even if you have a better draw. If you dont have a witness nothing gets done.

They probably wouldn't dq these guys even if that guy showed up at the weigh in and told the TD what he saw.

Yes, on behalf of Folsom Bass Team we appreciate the free advertisment, but there was not a FBT tournament this weekend.

Did one of the guys from the boat handing over fish get in the boat with the other two?

I hope this gets straitened out by the TD's....

Delta Dan, why so defensive? Hit a nerve? I know what I saw and what they told me. Yes I only have 11 post on here if thats what your research told you. I wasn't even going to post this topic but since I fish tournaments and it was eating at me, I decided to post it. I only wish I would have gotten their CF #'s. Lesson learned I guess. Thanks to everyone else who has a positive post about this ongoing topic and problem. I guess we all may have learned something here.

Just because I don't have over 2500 post on here doesn't mean what I posted isn't true...

Funny (but not really) how a guy that tags WestenBass a drama queen on another site comes over here and jumps in trying to stir up a lynching. Time to get over the "this site, that site" crap. Everybody, except the ones no longer allowed here for good reason, are the same fishermen.

Yeah, IF these guys cheated they should go down but let's find out if they were even in a tournament. This post was about cheaters in a FOLSOM BASS tournament that wasn't even on the water. Let's see some contact between Kilroy and the TO's on the water. Good to see Brian step up and show interest to clear his Org's field. Not trying to bang you Kilroy but cheating is a serious accusation. Did they say they were cheating too? Obviously you had a conversation to find out the Folsom thing.

Nobody wants to fish an event that turns an eye to this kind of crap. Org's may feel that it is best to ignore but soon enough nobody will fish because it is tough to beat 4 guys fishing out of one boat. The good thing is cheating seems to be VERY rare. Look at how many teams fish a tournament every week. Allegations like this just get a lot of attention.

BTW there is no need to "ban somebody for ten years" for cheating. All organizations have lifetime bans on cheaters. Those bans include cheating in another organization's event. FLW takes it even further to ban a person convicted of ANY Felony.

I’m going to have to disagree with that statement dave. Not everyone is looking for a confrontation on the water with someone that may be cheating. He may not have thought to write down the CF numbers or didn’t want to be seen taking pictures. I would have been very vocal if I would of saw this going on but not everyone is like that.

And as far as proof, hell I’ve seen pictures of barrels and fish feeders and everything else taken of cheaters and still nothing was done. So even with proof, some org’s still want to look the other way to avoid the controversy.

Looks like he did talk to them. Maybe they do fish Folsom. Just not in a tournament that day? Depends on how the question was worded.
Cheating is very serious business and I hope that Orgs take it seriously. You can be sure that nobody will fish a tournament that they know has a cheater in the field.

You can rest assured that my staff and I take this very serious and we are going to be looking thru the pictures of our top 10 to verify if any of the guys were in our tournament.

if Kilroy can identify any of the guys in my tournaments as those he witnessed getting fish from another boat then the appropriate measures will be taken.

PS over tha past few years I have DQ'd 13 boats for their days catch for either being late or running to fast in a 5MPH zone. The 5MPH zone was a protest both times and both times the team was DQ'd. I can assure you that my staff and I do care and we enforce the rules in the tournaments we run. Heck I even go so far as to hand out a full copy of the rules to each team at every tournament.

No need to find out who they are and post their names...I'll do it.

Kilroy, or whatever your name is since you don’t post it. Scratch that, let’s call you Mr. Mason. Or how about Cagney. Maybe even Lacey.

Whichever it is…you’re an idiot. Now let’s get some facts straight.

First off, I never said I was fishing a Folsom Bass Team tournament. You just asked me what club I fished. I said Folsom. Which is a great club and never would they, nor do I, condone cheating in an event. Of any kind!

It was my Ranger yes, but it’s white, blue, and red! My co-angler was my DAD, who’s 62, and he was wearing a white and green hat. You want my CF#?!

The guy you saw in the Champion, I’ve never met, but he was well over 50. Nice try though.

What you thought you saw, was actually me fishing with my Father on Easter weekend and taking time out of my day, to JUMP START a guy who was having trouble!!! The guy said he just bought the boat a month ago. If you actually paid attention and registered what you were seeing, you would have seen that he was trying to start it for a good 10 minutes before he asked me for help. He even tied up to a dock beforehand to try and fix the problem himself. Long story short, it turned out not to be the battery. But I can see how shinny red and black jumper cables look like huge green bass!

If anything I should be the one on here bashing YOU. I don’t know if it was your Pink Panther/Perry Mason detective side kicking in, but you’re the guy who was completely out of line. The reason I told you that I was fishing a tournament, when you just about rammed your boat into mine, was because you had not only cut me off and jumped in front of me when I stopped to help the guy, but when I switched sides of the channel turned around and then went out and down the other slough, you then jumped sides of the slough and followed me down. You were casting in my back pocket! You even had the balls to say, “Hey are you guys fishing a tournament? If you guys are fishing a tournament I won’t fish up on youâ€

Kilroy will take his beating for this one but he should not be there alone. How about some of the other guys that immediately ASSUMED that this act occurred?

As I said earlier, allegations like this hurt the organizations that are on the water as much as the accused cheater. You guys that assumed that the action went down as stated and wanted to hang the perps before hearing the facts should go sit in the corner with Kilroy.

As I said earlier, allegations like this hurt the organizations that are on the water as much as the accused cheater. You guys that assumed that the action went down as stated and wanted to hang the perps before hearing the facts should go sit in the corner with Kilroy.
Well at least he said something. He THOUGHT he saw something and brought it to attention. Everything worked out for the good and thats great to hear!!! Good job by both parties.

Thanx Chad.
Ever notice that even if you didn't do anything wrong you seem to get a pit in your stomack, that just knots up when accusations fly. Notice there was no response from USAC. :x I t has tainted mine a Rick's victory, that we worked hard for. :x :x :x The sad thing is my Ranger is white with silver stripe which could very well be mistaken for gray.(especially if jumper cables look like bass  ) However we fished out of Ricks black Ranger, because mines is at Bucks Outboards in Sac an has been there since Cesar chavez's birthday.
Kilroy, everybody makes mistakes, unfortunately yours was a lulu. I will sleep better tonight not worrying about everthing I ever did wrong in my entire life showing up on a lie detector

The other guys should be given a break too. I mean after all they chimed in on what they thought were facts, and as fisherman what we all need to be focused on now is SB 2236 (?).

Guys if you haven't heard, go to Bobby Barrack.com an send him an e-mail, we need to put this past us an get the ball rollin on stoppin this senate bill

Mr Dibble... I did not cut in front of you nor did I just about ram your boat. Closest I got to your boat was maybe 30 yards at the closest. If I was any closer, I may have neen able to determine the actual color of your boat colors. I find it very funny though trying to change the direction of this topic. I thought my question (Are you in a tournament?) was a very professional one since the same question gets asked of me all the time when people fish up in the same area I am fishing. If you recall as soon as you said yes you were fishing a tournament, I gave you the RESPECT of moving on. I had no intentions of writing on this topic but what I saw is what I saw and it was eating at me for the entire day. If you remember the facts correctly, you were hanging onto the covered slip, not fishing at all when the Champion came up and I saw what appeared to the guy reaching into his livewells and handing what appeared to be cullem-rite over to the Ranger. The total time you were together was all of about 5 minutes at the most. I'm sure if the tables were turned, and you saw what I saw, you would have thought the same thing. I am not one who usually stirs up controversy and I apologize to all that got caught up on this topic. If in fact Mr. Dibble you were not cheating and it was in fact a jump start, I am VERY sorry. My hat's off to you for stepping up and clearing the mud. I should have called you out on it on the day it happened and it may have fixed it then. If you want Mr. Dibble, I would be happy to buy you a cold one in an attempt to reconcile and apologize in person

Brad
That's why they call it fishing, not catching...
