Lowrance Hook 2

Post by SQ Topwater »

I am looking at upgrading my electronics.
We have a 2018 Nitro Z18.
I am not sure if I should go with a Hook2 7 TripleShot Combo or go with a larger screen without side scan.
Any thoughts?

Thank you
Mike

Well since I did not get help on this, I decided to get the Hook2 7 Split Shot.
Only trouble now is that I am having trouble finding the gasket to flush mount it in my console.
I think it is Lowrance part# 000 14188 001.
I WILL try Boatmastrs on Monday.

Mike,
I know next to nothing about the newer electronics. My electronics are at least 10 years old.
That's why I didn't respond.
I thought someone who actually knew what they were talking about might respond.
I hope whatever you chose works out for you.

I'm not sure where you are at now but the Hook 2 are great units for the money. I have not tried to mount a unit where you need a "gasket" but if you need one that is supplied by Lowrance, any Lowrance dealer can order one for you.

I did not reply since I was not sure of your fishing style. Some rely heavily on StructureScan and some use it just occassionly. In your installation manual you will find the correct product # for the flush mount kit.
