Re: Boat prices, WOW!!
Do what I did, and don't buy new. I found a 99 Ranger that had just had an engine overhaul, a new trolling motor, new batteries and two new graphs. I paid about 1/3 of what I would for a new boat and all the components that you use most were new or near new. Sure the appearance needed a little TLC, ...

Clear Lake, first time, North end
Hello all, I am spending a few days on Clear lake next week. I have never been there before and am staying up in the northeast end. I am looking for a few pointers as to what to expect / bring. If possible I want to fish in that end of the lake as I have the family with me and don't want to be makin...

Re: Fiberglass or Aluminum?
Go with Glass, unless you are fishing EXTREMEMY shallow on a regular basis. I have a 519 and am amazed at how shallow I can get it. The stability in both running and most importantly in fishing is head and shoulders above aluminum. Too with the recent run up in commodity prices (aluminum) I wonder h...

First Pro Am...Lake Mead
Just want to say a big thanks to everyone at WON bass and the two Pros I fished with for making my first Pro AM a memorable experience. New experiences to me included spearing a wave on Saturday with Ron Williams (won't forget that) and running back through the narrows with the sun rising on Mead wi...

Re: WON Bass Lake Mead
Thanks for the input, just bought new raingear!! Question about being an amature...how many rods would a typical Am bring...ie: I want to be respectful to the PRO and not take up too much space. Also do Pro's typically provide a life jacket or is that my obligation? Thanks for the feedback.

WON Bass Lake Mead
Hello all. I will be fishing as an amature in the upcoming Lake Mead Pro am in March. It is my first Pro am and first time on Lake Mead. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction in terms of what to expect on the lake as I will be travelling a great distance and need to ...
