Re: BAM Weighin Coverage

I agree. I was at the weigh ins yesterday and you could barely hear them speak. Today I watched it online and it was very hard to hear them talk. A few anglers grabbed the mic and then you could hear them. If they had an extra mic just for the anglers it might be better. Great organization and event...

Re: Golden mussels might be a good thing....

A few days ago I was speaking with someone that is knowledgeable on the golden mussel issue. They told me something very obvious when you see what is happening to our freedom. There is 0.0% interest in preserving opportunity for recreation boaters. None Zip Nada. Keeping the mussels out of the wate...

Re: Golden mussels might be a good thing....

JV is correct, as usual. My handle Crankyone refers to fishing crankbaits for those of you who don't understand the fishing analogy. Baseless claims about false flag boats eh? Hilarious. So when state parks posted a pic of a boat that allegedly failed an inspection at folsom and it just happened to...

Re: Golden mussels might be a good thing....

That report has a lot of great examples and data on how much of a PITA mussel infestations are, how much they are costing us, and how they're impacting fisheries and recreational activities. I suggest everybody who feels like posting strong opinions on the issue actually read it first. Look, the Go...

Re: Sea Lion In Action

Fact or Fiction?
I'd say his analysis is spot on. I've been fishing the delta 25 years and yes the quality fluctuates over the years, but I don't see a rebound from this scenario.

Berryessa Decontamination Update

Beginning April 7, it will cost you $25 up to $200 to have your boat "decontaminated". See full story in link below. NAPA COUNTY, Calif. — Officials are working to protect a lake that provides drinking water to nearly half a million people in Solano County. They are trying to keep golden m...

Invasive species that needs to be eradicated. How many years will it take them to completely destroy the delta bass population? From what I've witnessed out there, not long. I see them all over, from as far north as hog slough all the way south to sugar cut.

100% agree! But let's penalize all recreational
boaters instead of addressing the cause.

Lauritzen's launch ramp is closed to the public due to covid. Hadn't been there for awhile, tried launching there 2 weeks ago. Big break marina is a good alternative and the launch fee is only $10.

Bait flippers are garbage. You buy a hard to get swimbait and try to flip it for double. You are a p.o.s. People like you shouldnt even be in the game.

21.29 took the W and 18.53 was 2nd. Third was 12.85. Weights went down fast after that. 121 fish weighed in from 52 boats. Tough bite for 95% of the field.

Respecting other anglers

On a recent delta trip I was amazed by the total disregard of other fisherman towards each other. At multiple spots I was fishing a bank and had boats jump in front of me less than 30 Yds away and fish the same direction I was going. I also had a few guys jump in less than 30 Yds in front of me and ...

Re: Navionics App.

The app does work well on the water but I have lost my waypoints multiple times after software updates. Very frustrating after all the time I spent marking waypoints and obstructions. It's worth the $10 but don't expect the waypoints to always be there.
