What type of knot were you using. it is important to polamar knot. Also, be sure to wet your knot before cinch it down. with that being said, I am not a big fan of the smaller pound test of Vanish and Transition, I have had some breakage issues with it. I tend to use 14# and bigger.

I know the Sacramento BPS is tied to the Rail Yard redevelopment. If the the Rail Yard gets redeveloped there will most likely be a BPS. Redeveloping the Yard is going to be an expensive endeavor, one that BPS cannot/will not do on its own. I would not count on seeing a BPS in Sacramento in the next...

Re: Best Huddleston Rod and Reel Set Up?
Do yourself a favor and look at as many rods in person as you can. Not everyone likes the same things in rods, so look at all the rods mentioned. I personally love my Okuma 7'6 XH, it is light with a good action and great sensitivity. Okuma also stands by their rods 100% which is worth a great deal....

Swampy,
Me and my Partner are fishing AC tourneys out of his 16 foot Tracker with a 25 on the back. I think you would be fine in most team tourneys or club tourneys. If you do end up selling your boat let me know, it is a clean little rig.

Fishing at Los Banos Creek, me and my buddy saw a fox chasing a cotton-tail along the shore. We then noticed another fox up above the rabbit, circling down to cut him off. Sure enough the fox ran the rabbit right into the other fox and the rabbit was killed. It was cool to see them hunting as a team...

The cost of bass fishing is only as high as you allow it. I am lucky that my wife is grea...

I camped and fished around the state park last weekend and never found clear water; it was all a was red/tea color. There were tons of bait fish up shallow, it looked like a shad explosion everytime I casted up shallow. Most of the fish I caught were in the 10 foot range.
