Well if you went to Pinecrest, try Lake Alpine. Stay on highway 4 past Bear Valley. High sierras, (7 - 8 thousand ft) better plan for after memorial, or check road closures. Short trip down the mountain to Arnold. Just watch for bears.

I would suggest you contact Dan O Sullivan of Limit Lures of Calif. He makes some of the best baits out there. Ask him about wire thickness, you'll be surprized about how that makes a blade perform. He is in several tackle shops, Limit Out in Clear Lake comes to mind. Tight Lines Eddie
