SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Letter from one "Angry Woman"
SHE IS CERTAINLY NOT ONE OF THE SHEEP
I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it. Some powerful words. This woman should run for president.
Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady.
"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?
And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?..Well, I don't. I don't care at all.
I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia .
I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.
I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave Marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.
When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.
When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.
When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.
And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !!
If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem" -- Ronald Reagan
I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......I hope you forward all this.
"If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." Also by.. Ronald Reagan
One last thought for the day:
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out."
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM. AMEN!

Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Thank you for posting that. You here so much in the media against our soldiers, it is nice to hear some in favor.
Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
That was great! There's someone that can look at the big picture and see whats really going on in this country, and where we are heading if we don't wise up.
CHANGE is not a destination, and HOPE is not a strategy!
Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Apparently this lady never learned what Jesus taught...had she...and actually did view him as a number one priority her letter would have a different tone I think...the amount of hypocrisy is sad to say the least...Try reading the bible first at least before claiming to be a Christian
Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
I don't claim to be anything other than...an american in the military that likes to fish and loves his country...and she hit it on the head...
We have become to sensitvie as a country...if the truth hurts...its probably true...
I have been there as a few others on here have...what you see on tv..is a 10 second clip...its not the whole picture...
Thank you for posting...
See you on the water...

I think we need more people with this womans mindset.tunaeater wrote:Apparently this lady never learned what Jesus taught...had she...and actually did view him as a number one priority her letter would have a different tone I think...the amount of hypocrisy is sad to say the least...Try reading the bible first at least before claiming to be a Christian
However, we all are hypocrits at one time or another tunaeater.
Maybe you could have turned the other cheek on this one!tunaeater wrote:So the bottem line is this man ripped you off for 400 to 500 bucks ...ummm...do you know where he lives? Unless this dued left the country...I would hunt his *** down..."be the bigger man" and let him do it? I think not..I would do whatever it takes for you to see him face to face once again..dont get me wrong...theres a time to just let things go..but I would exhaust all possibility of getting whats mine first..I dont know about you...but I work hard for my money..Im not going to let just anyone take it from me
Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Im not claiming to be a Christian...just pointing out the fact that she was hypocritical...Jesus preached peace...loving your enemy...not killing them....either you follow it or you dont...there is no inbetween...wishing death or harm to another person is one thing...going about getting your money thats rightfully yours in a peacefull yet assertive manner is another..dosnt mean im going to harm him...or not forgive him...just wont trust him again...nice try though....A for effort buddy
Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Like you, she never made that claim either.tunaeater wrote:Im not claiming to be a Christian...just pointing out the fact that she was hypocritical...nice try though....A for effort buddy
You get an F for incomplete homework, buddy!

Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Acctually she did in so many words..see..you got to think a little bit...she believes Jesus died for her soul...clue number one...Clue number two....is she believes in a goverment UNDER god...meaning the buck stops with God...what he says goes...you get the idea...if she believes that we should be UNDER God...then Im guessing she should follow what he and his son says if she does indeed truely believe that...maybe she doesnt as much as she thinks she does...as with many people im sure...but then all im saying is...dont say you believe in a nation under god if your not willing to do what god and his son says...what I get from what she says is Country first ...God second.. To each there own
Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
Maybe you think too much tuna!tunaeater wrote:Acctually she did in so many words..see..you got to think a little bit...

I dont think that Christianty is the point
I think the real point is whether you agree with her or not.
I personally agree with her whole heartedly, and it wouldnt change my opinion one iota if she were an athiest or a catholic priest,
All she said about Jesus was that he died to save our souls.
She is not talking about Christian morality.

Jim,
Good post
I wonder how long tuna man has been dug in like a tick and wondered how long it was going to take for the enemy to key in on your glowing barrel. And who am I to judge a muslim and there god. Its just my job to set up the meeting. The fact of the matter is the coran states to inflict terror on all those infadels that do not beleive mohamad is the 1 true god. Come on guys, why dont we all just put a copy of guns and ammo in every cell in prison.

If your enemy is determined to kill you and your family
The best thing for you to do is to identify the enemy and kill him before he has the chance to kill you.
Pretty simple but undeniably true. Any other course of action simply proves to your enemy how stupid you are and how easy you are making his goal to kill you.
Anyone who does not think that their goal is to kill you and your family, and that they will accomplish that goal if we dont stop them is totally out of touch with the reality of the situation

Re: If your enemy is determined to kill you and your family
Jim,
I think what it boils down to is, do we want to fight them here or go fight them over there. It seems some dont understand this. Its already here, didnt they just fly a couple of planes into the towers and kill thousands. I am a Marine and spent a few years in anti-terrorism. And I would rather go back over there and kick a##, than have my family laying in a cast iron bath tub for cover. I am afraid Jim that in my life time we are going to be fighting a war on are own soil. I dont like the fact that poloticians that have never had to fire a rifle and have no idea about how to fight a war, are making choices to make themselfs look like the good guys to up there popular vote when my friends die. And now I have my cousin in iraq right now for the next 15 months. So I guess this is a sensitive subject for me. Thats it, I am going fishing.

Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
This should be in the politickle forum.
Then again, SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED.
But anyway, 9/11 has nothing to do with the Iraqi war. And, Iraq was better off with Sadam in power before the Americans invaded and made it worse. Those so-called Iraqi terrorists were spawned AFTER America invaded that country. Iraq was a sovereign nation until America screwed it up. Period.
Also, I'm willing to bet that ONE Palestinian (or Middle Eastern) tour guide knows more about Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible than all of us visitors here on www.westernbass.com combined! Including the angry woman from Jersey! So who the phark is she to complain?
You probably posted this as a joke, to generate some humor, and somewhat maybe to generate the awareness that a war is still going on. Whatever the case, what you really need to do is ask yourself this, "Why is America trying to colonize Iraq?"
Now, before you all go ballistic on me, I'm a US Army vet and do support our troops, unconditionally. But I don't support such rubbish that was posted here.
Good luck!

Wow another geneside Sadam lover. Get a rope. Colonize? you can keep your sand box. Check your intel, how many training camps did they have there? And I guess they didnt dance in the streets when they found out we got hit. And you can go give Sadam's picture a big wet kiss after I walk you through a orphanage were he used the kids for chemical weapons testing. Yeah we should have just left that one alone dont you think? Maby Sadam had nothing to do with 9-11, but who cares we stretched his neck and made the world a better place. You are getting a little polluted by the media. You are a Soldier act like one, use your head. Or are we all going to side with Rosey and say steel doesnt melt and Bush nocked over the towers all by himself.
But I do understand your point of view, there are worse people out there and Sadam did keep that region in check. And we are the worlds 911 service so we stick are nose into allot of places. Enough of this crap, there are fish to be caught.

I was in a pre Seals Navy special forces unit in Korea, I have great respect for the Marine Corps as well as all of our military forces. I am totally convinced that we will be fighing in the streets of the United States against those same people that we are currently fighting in Iraq with 1.5 hands tied behind our backs because of Mamby Pamby lilly white cowards we have for political leaders.
Where are a guys like Teddy Roosevelt or George Patton, or Douglas Macarthur when we need them.

Yeah we stuck our head in the sand when Hitler
We stuck our head in the sand while Hitler was murdering millions of innocent human beings just as sadam hussien was doing 60 years later.
So you want us to repeat the process?

Re: SOMETIMES NON FISHING NEEDS TO BE POSTED
I dont post much but this is different. What does being a Christian have to do with any of this??
Whether you agree or not with what was posted one thing is for sure. Most of the American people are totally unaware of what is going on over there. We scream about being a good Christian and forgiving them for what they are doing but do we really forgive and forget what they have already done to the innocents on that horrible day?? And if it came down to it most of you would shoot first then think about a question to ask. You would do what was needed to protect you and yours no matter what realigon you may be. Take your heads out of the sand and there is a lot of sand in Iraq and look people!

Kennedy also predicted how Iraq would turn out years ago. He got 3rd page news. Paris Hilton probably got front page. Money drives the media and national politics. Most Americans are still under the illusion their vote means something at the national level.

Stuff like this needs to be posted everywhere the U.S. public can see it! Is it Christian to hate? No. It is human. We are not perfect. By the the Contitution of the United States she has every right to say what she feels.
Should we have gone into Afganistan and Iraq? Without a doudt. Other than the UK and the Phillipines they harbor more terrarist cells than any other country in the world.
I'm a former Marine Scout/Sniper attached to Force Recon, and I fermly beleave get them on there dirt before we have to fight them on ours.

Welcome aboard
I was in a Navy special forces unit in Korea. Not the UDT and before the SEALS were formed. I carried a 03A3 with a star guaged barrell and a 20 power Unertal scope. One inch groupes at 200 yards.
I totally agree that it is 1000 times better to fight them on their dirt than on ours.
All of the weakness trhat we continue to show them is the reason that we have not made as much progress as we would have if the politicians and sheep of our nation would allow the warriors do what they have been trained to do.
The war over there would be finished and over with if we fought it the way we did during the second world war and in Korea.

My dad was with the newly formed scout/sniper plt 3rd Marine Div during Korea. He used both the 03A3 and the M1 with a 10 power Redfield. He told me during there traning that they shooting "orange crates" at over 1500 yards. It may not sound like much now, but in those days that was awesome shooting.
By the way Jim, I've seen that EGA tatoo on your arm. What department of the Navy did you come from? It looks to me you came from the Mens department, and I don't mean the Seal's.

Semper Fi!!!

Re: Welcome aboard
Yes they gave us a lot of stuff to shoot at. we even had wornout auto tires with a piece of cardboard tucked into the center of them and rolled down the hills to get us used to shooting at moving bouncing targets.
The one inch groups at 200 yards mathmatically comes out to 5 " at 1000 yards but none of us could ever get that down to less than about 9 inches. Just a little puff of wind or an updract from a low spot can throw the bullet. A slight wind from the right on a rifle with a right hand twist can make a bullet climb about 5 inches above its mathmatic trajectory due to greater air friction on the right side of the bullet.
In an actual combat situation we almost never shot more than about 700 yards if we were concerned about giving away our position
Its pretty evident from your comments that you know some stuff that very few people know about
