Guided Wildlife Tours at Gray Lodge Wildlife Area, 3207 Rutherford Road, Gridley (95948), 12:30 p.m. The 90-minute walking tour covers slightly more than a half-mile through this premier birding spot that highlights migratory waterfowl and other wetland wildlife. Tours are cancelled in the event of heavy rain. No reservations are necessary for groups of fewer than 20 people. Modern Fish Act Continued Momentum
Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Natural Resources approved H.R. 200, a bill aimed at improving federal marine fisheries management. This is great news for the recreational fishing industry, because H.R. 200 includes the language from the Modern Fish Act.

Boating Accident Investigation Course
A one-of-its-kind boating accident investigation course took place at Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) headquarters in Phoenix last week. The goal for the more than 30 watercraft officers attending from across the U.S. and Canada was to advance their skills in accident investigation through in-classroom instruction and hands-on examination of staged boating collisions.
