Stubby Guide Glove and Pro 365 Guide Glove from Fish Monkey now in VOODOO SWAMP PURPLE and GREEN
They’ve been referred to as “performance enhancing” and an “unfair advantage.” The fact nearly every wide receiver in the NFL and NCAA now uses gloves to protect their hands and grip pigskins should not go unnoticed by anglers. Apparently, it hasn’t been. Several seasons back, gloves designed for fishermen and women started showing up in grip-and-grin photos and live tournament coverage, everywhere. The reasons? Enhanced fishing performance and protection from outdoor elements.

Fishing guide found guilty for crimes related to his paid angling endeavors
In 2016, Swann, proprietor of Swanny’s Guided Fishing, pleaded guilty to one count of violating the endangered species act, and was fined $7,500. That guilty plea came after Swann was accused of illegally harvesting two wild coho salmon on the Cowlitz River while he was out on a paid guide trip. After video and photos of the fish in question surfaced on the internet, Swann was accused of cutting off the adipose fins of the fish in order to make them appear as if they were clipped hatchery stock, which is legal for harvest.

Wild West Bass Trail Visits the "State of Jefferson"
When the WWBT comes to town, we bring owners, staff and personnel from Indiana, Oklahoma, Colorado and Arizona. Some of these folks had never been to California - or they have only been to the Bay or Los Angeles areas. Upon seeing the signs for the "State of Jefferson" we had a little explaining to do. Things are not the same up in Redding! They felt a little more at home. Here is the latest on the 51st State, from the Sac Bee:

Angler Wish List
As a rule, I like new tackle and gear, but when I walked the aisles of Outdoor Pro Shop, Fisherman's Warehouse, or any other tackle shop, I made a bee line for what I needed; usually some sort of terminal tackle item, walked to the cash register, checked out and left the store. #TBT
