The Mojave River Hatchery in Victorville, northern San Bernardino County, has reopened after an extensive and much needed overhaul to promote more efficient trout production for anglers in Southern California.

Temporary Closure for Mojave River Hatchery
The Mojave River Hatchery near Victorville in San Bernardino County will be closed to the public as of May 1, to allow for maintenance and repairs of the raceways, buildings and equipment. The facility is expected to reopen in approximately three to four months when all repairs are complete.

The Wild West Bass Trail (WWBT) continues the Arizona Teams circuit with a stop at Lake Mojave. On March 26, over 100 anglers will battle for bass, cash and Year-To-Date points on the reservoir that defines the border separating Nevada and Arizona.

Safety tips offered in wake of boating fatality at Lake Mohave
The reminder comes after a boat operator on Lake Mohave accidentally reversed the boat and struck a man with the boat’s propeller on Saturday. The man died of his injuries.
