Lake Shasta Set to Host FLW Series Opener
The Costa FLW Series is headed to Lake Shasta Feb. 18-20 for a tournament presented by Minn Kota when as many as 300 pros and co-anglers will take to the water for the first stop of 2016 in the Western Division.

Big Black Bass, Plentiful Crappie and warming temperatures! Fitzgerald GIANT!
Isleton Water temps raised a bit this week and a few stripers in the Cache Slough area responded. Catfish started stirring in dead end sloughs, Cut Baits and Crawlers get the top call. Sturgeon remains the focus here. Diamondback anglers are heading to 41, Liberty and Cache Slough areas with roe and eel reporting success.

Hallman Leads Day One: FLW Tour Stop On Lake Okeechobee
Oklahoma pro Bradley Hallman, brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 25 pounds even Thursday to grab the early lead after day one of the Walmart FLW Tour at Lake Okeechobee presented by Ranger Boats. Right behind him in second place is renowned Okeechobee angler Brandon McMillan of Clewiston, who weighed in five bass totaling 22-8. Hallman now brings a 2½-pound lead into day two of the four-day tournament that features 169 of the top bass-fishing anglers in the world competing for a top cash award of up to $125,000.

Kapiton Wins FLW Bass Fishing League Presented By Navionics
George Kapiton of Inverness, Fla., won the January 9 Gator Division event on Lake Okeechobee with a 31-pound limit to claim $9,000 in winnings.

Pro Field Announced For 2016 Walmart FLW Tour Season
FLW announced today the complete professional angler roster of 171 for the upcoming 2016 Walmart FLW Tour season, the 21st season of the FLW Tour. The 2016 FLW Tour will feature six regular-season tournaments, along with the addition of two fall Invitational tournaments, with competition kicking off Feb. 4-7 at Lake Okeechobee in Clewiston, Florida

Ripbaits are great options while small swim baits and swim jigs get the mention. We found plenty of Stripers and Black Bass with Hair Jigs, Swim Baits, like the BIG 6thSense Hollow Bodies getting grabbed. Lot of Stripers in main River and Mildred areas.

Ray Hanselman of Del Rio, Texas, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 15 pounds, 13 ounces to win the Rayovac FLW Series Championship on the Ohio River. Hanselman’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 46 pounds, 11 ounces earned him $50,000 and a berth into the Forrest Wood Cup in the event that featured 171 of the best semi-professional bass-fishing anglers from across the country.

East Central University Wins FLW College Fishing Southern Conference Finale on Red River
The East Central University team of Wyatt Smith of Depew, Oklahoma, and Trevor Yates of Norman, Oklahoma, won the FLW College Fishing Southern Conference event on the Red River Saturday with five bass weighing 16 pounds even. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Southern Conference Championship tournament.
