The highlight of EFTTEX – the Angling International-sponsored Best New Product Awards – were dominated by the industry’s major manufacturers. Global leader, 
Pure Fishing, led the way by taking four awards, followed by two each for Daiwa and Rapala VMC Corporation. Svendsen Sport A/S, a winner of six prizes last year, also made it to the podium to pick up the Best Accessory Award.
Exhibitors from across the Atlantic made a big splash with perennial winners, Sage Manufacturing, scoring a double with wins in the fly rod and fly reel categories, while its Far Bank Enterprises counterpart, RIO Products, also took an award for its Single Handed Spey Line.
EFTTEX regular Mann’s Bait Company was a winner in the Metal Lure category, while Costa Sunglasses won the first-ever Eyewear award for its Costa Cortez.
