Registration has begun for the 14th Annual Snag Proof Open Bass Tournament on the California Delta. This is a Snag Proof Frogs Only event: no other lures are allowed. With nearly 300 teams competing in 2014, the Snag Proof team expects continued support for this event by anglers competing for the #1 frog fishing crown held on the Delta.
Randy Pringle is this year’s Tournament Director and had this to say about the event: "Teaming up with Snag Proof Lures is all about the anglers and bringing fun back to tournament bass fishing. Snag Proof has always been there for the anglers and this will not change". The higher pay-back for this year is due in part to Randy, he is donating his time and abilities to help make this Snag Proof Open the best one yet!
The Snag Proof Lures Team is very appreciative of Randy's dedication to our anglers and ensuring that this event runs extremely well. Randy is well known in California for running the “Best Bass Tournaments” circuit.
It is expected that many teams will weigh-in, two day combined limits exceeding 30 pounds. With each team being allowed three fish per day, the daily average will be high for the top teams.
Connie Fuller, VP of Marketing for Snag Proof, has been behind the scenes on all prior Snag Proof Opens on the Delta and says, “This is a fun event and brings a level playing field to tournament fishing. It also showcases the large number of quality bass the Delta produces.”
The event is being run out of Russo’s Marina, on Bethel Island on the Delta. Russo’s Marina hosts many bass tournaments each year and anglers can look forward to an experienced crew to make this two day event run smoothly.
Breakfast will be available on Day 1 and a BBQ Saturday during weigh-in for the registered anglers, family and friends.

Tournament hours are 11:00 a.m. – 5: p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 a.m. – 12:p.m. on Sunday.3-fish limit per day; largemouth bass only.
100% Payback
Boat numbers/launch order will be done by a random lottery draw.
Day two launch order is reverse of day one.
Entry fees: $200 Pro Division and $100 AM Division
