Dobyns 908 and Calcutta 300TE
Dobyns 908 - Champ XP Swimbait Rod 9'0" Ultra Mag Hvy 8-30oz (some 'wear' on EVA foam handle but does not affect performance one bit - otherwise the rod itself is near flawless ) Calcutta 300 TE - mechanically perfect - scratches from normal use over the last year. $350 for the combo or $200 fo...

Dobyns 867 (10-11oz baits...?)
Hi everyone-
Am I doing something wrong with my 867 -- I tried to throw a ~11oz bait and I felt like I was overloading the rod. It's rated to 16oz so I figured I'd be good up to 14oz when I bought it. Was the 908 more appropriate?
Im lob casting FYI...
Thanks,
-David

I have to give credit, where credit is due. Bought a brand new Ranger Z185 this past May from Gone Fishin Marine, and all I can say is, WOW! Im sure it wasn't intentional, and if WWBT could have avoided the simultaneous dates, Im guessing they would have. I posted this question on Facebook when the schedule was released: I really wanted to fish all the events for WWBT (Pro/Am's and Team Events). What happens if I miss the Oroville Team event to fish the Havasu Pro/Am? Would I still be able to fish the Championship for the Team circuit (only fishing ...

Re: When to buy new batteries for trolling motor
I replace mine the first time they don't last as long as they did in their prime. Meaning, after they were broke in with the proper charging, and discharged correctly over multiple cycles, I can feel when they don't last with the power they once did. I can average 1-1.5 years in buying deep cycle, t...

Hi Western Bass Anglers: I've come to an impasse. New Nitro, or wait until I can afford my dream Ranger (NEW, ONLY). I 'm not interested in a used boat , so that leaves me with this to ponder: 1) Should I pull the trigger on a new Nitro, knowing awhile back, they had issues (all of which I stood wit...

Re: Bass Jumping to Catch Dragon Fly- What is Best Bait to Use
I used to destroy dragonfly-eating fish with a Heddon Baby Torpedo in black. A small topwater prop bait seems to mimic the fluttering/wing sound dragonflys emit when they are struggling on the surface. I observed the same thing you're seeing, only had that topwater on me and it was, GAME OVER. Hope ...

This is an odd question for this time of year but --
I'll be up at Trinity for the next few days and temps look to be freezing overnight--->
What do you do when storing your boat on the water/off the water while temps are freezing? Never dealt with this...
Thanks!!

No disrespect to 1st, 2nd and 55th if they read that...its just those fish died for what reason again? Certainly not to eat, especially via Clearlake, then why? Really at the end of the day why subject that many fish to an early demise?
