Re: Golden Mussel found at Oroville

Have the Quagga Mussels overwhelmed our water infrastructure? If not, why would the Golden Mussel be any worse? I'm not certain the Golden Mussel will be any worse. But there is a chance it could be. I would love to be wrong. We are talking about different species here, so of course there are going...

Re: Golden Mussel found at Oroville

I have a question on all of this Golden Mussel BS. Haven't the lakes in SoCal been infected with the Zebra mussels? I know Havasu is. What millions of dollars have they spent on clogged pipes, damaged infrastructure? I'm not seeing or hearing anything about those issues, but I don't live around tha...

Tunnels? No worries............. The mussels WILL jam/clog hundreds of tunnel miles and there's no way of keeping them out. Essentially, the tunnels are a breeding ground for these invasive species. This is too big of a job for Roto -Rooter. It's a matter of time and the billions spent on tunnel in...

This is no scam it's real as long as the delta is a breeding ground and they won't shut the source of the problem down lakes are going to start closing I'm sure the central valley will be next and if it happens it happens fishing or no fishing this is a serious problem fighting it won't solve the p...

Re: Golden mussels might be a good thing....

The whole mussel issue is CYA for lake and water management. Look at Casitas. When the Quagga mussel first became a threat, Casitas closed the lake to any boat that hadn't been inspected and then quarantined for 30 days. The rationale was that their water delivery infrastructure would be come contam...

The golden mussel probably has been in the delta long enough for it to have been spread into all the lakes if does in fact move with recreational boating Maybe it will help control the Zebra Mussels.   https://youtu.be/P9yruQM1ggc?si=bkVtJsEM86zNgsr1    Doh!!!
