The last time they did that it really disturbed the tidal flow patterns around Franks. The Old River cut off the main river became a funnel, and really tore up the tule islands. Same for Dutch Slough. And Taylor and Piper, too. Look for the grass in Franks to get so thick you can't motor at low tide...

The water you see from the Sacramento River Valley, Eastside rivers/streams, Delta, San Joaquin Basin and Tulare Basin is surface water. The water you don’t see is the San Joaquin aquifer a massive underground lake. Surface water fills underground water until the supply line overwhelms replenishmen...

The only way 50% of the water is being released into the bay is if we have an abnormal wet year and they have no where to store the water so they are forced to dump it. That all counts in the grand total to them. The smaller rivers like the Tuolumne and the Stanislaus are at their usual 150-300 cfs...

When CA farming, which is only 2% of the state's GDP, controls 80% of it's drinking water, something is wrong. Stop planting nut trees, which require 24/7 irrigation, in a desert.

Cant supply everybody especially when the growth trends of new home keep pushing the market. CA developers want to expand housing, why should they care about the water shortage?
