Re: Coeur D'Alene
the water has been really low this year for the expected run off that is going to start here really soon. last i heard they brought the main lake up about 3 ft. and it is still about 2 ft low. it should be full pool in the next few weeks.

Re: Coeur D'Alene
it is not that big of a difference. i used to live in california and coeur D'Alene fishes as well or close to many of the northern california lakes. 20 lb limits happen in every tourny.

Re: College vs. Fishing?
i am in the same deal this year. i qualified to fish the bass federation nation divisionals and was worried that they would land on finals week. i just found out that finals is a week before the tourny. to say i am stoked is an understatement. it would have been heart breaking to not be able to fish...

long,
just use some suspend strips and wrap them around the hook shank. This will give you the weight you want. they are cheep as well.

try the 3:16 mighty minnow. That bait is sick and it is very weedless. I have caught some big fish on it up here in the north. Fish it on braid if you are in the thick stuff.

They work real well. my favorite color is green pumpkin purple/green flake. I fish them on 15 lb mono. don't be afraid to through them for small mouth.
