Re: Should FPT be allowed to hold a event this weekend??

I would 1st off allow the next FPT event to be held without a doubt. The reason the fish were dead was 100% due to the anglers not the TD. Any time a tournament fish dies it is 9 times out of 10 due to angler mis-management. I was there, competed (albeit didn't catch my limit) and the weigh in was r...

Re: Mendota Slough

I know further west toward Los Banos West of 99 they were pulling out strippers "Lunker Punker". If you mean the Mendota Canal. Stay clear of the edge you don't want to fall in, there are lots of garbage and the current is faster than it appears.

Let us know how you fair.

Re: Delta Guide?

I am sure you can't go wrong with any of the folks listed. These guys have made a name in the industry for two reasons being very personable and most importantly putting people on fish. The delta is one of the most magnificent, tricky, and bountiful water bodies in California (IMHO). One guy that is...

Thanks for the input guys. Meaningful dialog and independent though differing perspectives is what makes these forums so great.

Off the soap box and on to chasing the ever elusive green aggressive beasts.

Re: The Gov & Delta Sac Bee "Boondoggle"

Andy I am reading what your writing and very true. I find it very quaint that a cross canal is being discussed costing tax payers millions, lowering flow rates, in turn increasing sediment deposition, propagating increased salinity levels, and conventional dredging is expensive and poses environment...

Re: The Gov & Delta Sac Bee "Boondoggle"

The best link I can find is this one but it is tough to read. It was a paid advertisement, so it does not show up in the Bee searches. http://findnsave.sacbee.com/Local-Ads/a1466486/Dean-A-Cortopassi?adid=10775266 The one flaw I see in his argument for dredging and depositing the dredge material is ...

The Gov & Delta Sac Bee "Boondoggle"

Did anyone catch the article / advertisement in todays Sac Bee. It was an advertisement hammering Moonbeam (Jerry Brown). The author was Dean Cortopassi. In a nut shell he was blasting the cross canal and stating the way to save the delta and its ecology was to dredge and build up the levees with th...

Re: Open Invitation for Comments and Suggestions - AC Pro Te

Steve I can suggest a couple of things. 1) What were / are your expectations when you fish tournaments? 2) Be transparent about everything financial. Let all those involved know what your expenses are, what you spend on marketing, what you have to match or contribute to get sponsors. Set aside fundi...

Re: Ondracek/Baggett capture Thunder Valley/FPT Classic Titl

Congratulations Mike and Todd. These guys are two of the most humble hard fishing guys I have met. The truest testament is they are approachable. The night before the delta they took about 5 minutes to talk with my partner and I about their day at Camanche, fishfinders, and Navionics. We were compet...

Paul, I wish I knew how to fabricate as I would lend you a hand ASAP. I can draft it up in CAD to help get it designed for you. For those of you that don’t know Paul he is a great man with a wealth of knowledge. If you can help him out I am sure he will teach you a thing or two about bass fishing,...
