Environmental Director Position Appointed at Iaconelli's Bass University
Leaders in fishing education want to bring attention to issues affecting fisheries The Bass University, a leading source of educational materials and opportunities for bass anglers founded by Mike Iaconelli and Pete Gluszek, has announced the addition of Craig Durand to the Bass University staff in the position of Environmental Director. Craig is known as the EcoBassAngler and will be contributing commentary to the Bass University social media pages highlighting important environmental issues that affect our fisheries.

Cabela's Collegiate Bass Shortened Due to Weather Challenges
With a chance of snow showers expected late in the day, and seven to ten mile an hour winds forecasted, no one figured that by 7:00am there would be a solid covering of snow plus strong winds out of the north. The format of the 2017 Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley had already been changed from a two-days event to a one-day event due to the chance of inclement weather on Sunday.

Two State Fishing Lake largemouth bass records have been broken. Mr. Brandon Hughes with an 11.6 pound bass on March 5, 2017 and Mr. Wesley Bass of Columbia caught a 7.2 pound bass.
