2016 WON Bass U.S. Open Begins Sept. 12
Beginning Monday September 11, 188 professional anglers and their AAA partners will head out onto the waters of Lake Mead to contest The WON Bass Nitro Boats / Mercury U.S. Open of Bass Fishing. With that, as it has for the past four years, the Costa See What's Out There Live show will be presented by Costa Sunglasses throughout the entirety of the three day event.

Lake level is at 2.42 Rumsey and the water temps are running 74-79 degrees. Water clarity is improving considerably and the bite seems to be doing so as well.

Clear Lake | Mid-Week Report
Man, what a difference a week can make. While the numbers bite remains good, the quality of fish being caught has diminished considerably with these cooler daytime temps, and with the coming weekend approaching I'm glad I can take the weekend off and wait for some warmer days, at least I hope we see some warmer days before fall arrives.

Much better fishing today for me then the last two weeks. Launched at Lime Saddle about 6am, stopped fishing at 10am. The bridge supports at Hwy 70 still have fish stacked on the corners like in the past.

Clear Lake this Week | August 22
All ramps are open and operating just fine. However, 2.5 Rumsey or so is where things start to get a bit dicey on some of the ramps around the lake. Just remember to trim up coming in and going out and you should be fine.

This Week at Clear Lake | July 31
Amazing is all anyone can say. Last year we saw so many juvenile 1 pound fish early in the year everyone was hoping for things to come. Well, things to come are here. The number "willing" of 2-4 pound fish in the lake right now is nearly unbelievable.

Today finds the lake at 3.98 Rumsey and we’re on our way to 3 Rumsey quickly. Ok, what does this mean? It means that as the lake drops in elevation more weeds are exposed and the pesky weed boats continue to roam the lake. .
