Kevin Miranda of Sac just caught the NEW LAKE RECORD BASS! 18.17 lbs 31" long, 24" girth! Caught out by Little Hat Island on crank bait. It is reported that Miranda caught it on a River2Sea V-joint minnow crankbait.

Record Hybrid Striped Bass Certified
OUTDOOR WRITERS OF OHIO STATE RECORD FISH COMMITTEE New Ohio State Record Hybrid Striped Bass Certified A new Ohio record Hybrid Striped Bass (a cross between a white bass and a striped bass) has been certified by the Outdoor Writers of Ohio State Record Fish Committee. The new state record hybrid striper, weighing 18.32 pounds, was caught by Richard A. Knisely of Washington Court House, Ohio in a feeder creek to Deer Creek Lake in Fayette County.

Record Striper Caught
Lawrence Dillman of Rockaway Beach became the most recent record-breaking angler in Missouri when he hooked a giant striped bass on Bull Shoals Lake using a rod and reel. The new "pole and line" record striped bass caught by Dillman on May 21 weighed 65 pounds, 2 ounces with a length of 49 ¾ inches and a girth of 36 inches. Dillman used 20-pound test line and a chub minnow to catch the behemoth.

Pierson Uses R2S S-Waver to Land 10-pound Spotted Bass in NorCal Fishery
Randy Pierson of Oakdale, Calif., is now a lake record holder and was nearly the world record holder after he landed a spotted bass from New Melones Lake in California on March 1, 2013. The bass weighed 10 pounds, 1 ounce just 3 ounces off the world record spotted bass caught in 2001 by Brian Shashido from Pine Flat Lake.
