It is the fourth and largest location that the fast growing Lew's rod and reel company has occupied in the area since a change in ownership back in 2009.
Fishing industry veterans and business partners Lynn Reeves and Gary Remensnyder are the leadership behind the legendary Lew's brand of recent times.

The $3.5 million expansion project officially broke ground on Oct. 31, 2014. Springfield- based Morelock-Rose Builders headed the project.
Still under construction is the official Lew's Museum where many historic fishing industry firsts from Lew Childre and other tackle pioneers will be on display for public viewing. Completion of the museum is expected before the end of the year, with an official grand opening and public tours to take place at that time.
"A move is never easy, but we're proud of how quickly and efficiently our team pulled this one together," said Lew's President Gary Remensnyder. "While we'll be settling into our new surroundings for awhile and finishing up the museum, I can proudly say it's already pretty much business as usual when it comes to shipping and taking care of our customers from 3031 N. Martin Ave. in Springfield."
