Save a Life: Become a Life Jacket Loaner Site
Across the United States, there are over 550 BoatUS Foundation Life Jacket Loaner sites that collectively loan out children's life jackets more than 140,000 times each year. That makes it one of the largest and most successful boating safety programs in the country. Becoming a new loaner site is now easier with an application cycle that allows marinas, boat clubs, waterfront restaurants or government agencies to apply at any time, speeding the review process. There is no cost to set up a loaner site and it's easy to do at BoatUS.org/life-jacket-loaner.

Ranger Pro Allen Boyd Wins TBF 2017 National Championship
Ranger Boats Pro Allen Boyd beat a field of 253 anglers to win The Bass Federation 2017 National Championship at Table Rock Lake on April 7. The angler fought through a tough bite for five days to win the "Living the Dream" package. The angler also participated in the Ranger Cup program and took home a brand new Ranger Z518.

California Boater Education Law in Effect January 1, 2018
Effective January 1, 2018, all individuals 20 years of age and younger who operate a recreational motorized vessel on California waterways will be required to carry a boater card issued by the California Division of Boating and Waterways, according to a law passed in 2015 now going into full effect.

Murray Wins Bassmaster Elite Series Event on Toledo Bend
Ranger Boats Pro John Murray brought in a total of 77 pounds, 10 ounces to win the Bassmaster Elite Series event at Toledo Bend on April 9. The victory marks Murray's first Elite Series win along with the $100,000 first-place prize money.

Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame Banquet August 26
Founder of the "Legends of the Outdoors" National Hall of Fame, Garry Mason, has released the 16th Annual "Legends of the Outdoors" National Hall of Fame's 2017 event date and venue. This year's inductees and guests will again be boarding one of the largest paddlewheel showboats in the country - the General Jackson Showboat/Music City Queen in Nashville, TN on Saturday, August 26th dockside along the Cumberland River. Boarding begins at 9:00am and will be followed by the banquet and induction ceremony at 10:00am.
