Laythe Moore of Banning, Calif. grabbed the lead on Day Two of the Wild West Bass Trail (WWBT) Pro/Am on Lake Mohave, presented by the City of Henderson, weighing the big stringer of the day at the desert fishery with 19.37. Moore’s sack was anchored by his biggest bass at 4.19. His two-day total of 37.18 moved him three spots and gave him a lead of more than four-pounds.

Water Expected to Flow into Lake Oroville Emergency Spillway Soon Oroville, Calif. -- Lake Oroville is expected to rise this morning to the level that allows water to flow down an emergency spillway and into the Feather River, according to the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). The volume of water is expected to pose no flood threat downstream and should remain well within the capacity of the Feather River and other channels to handle. Oroville Dam itself remains safe, and there is no imminent threat to the public.

Joe Uribe Jr. of Surprise, Arizona, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 22 pounds, 1 ounce, Saturday to claim top honors at the Costa FLW Series Western Division opener on Lake Havasu presented by Ranger Boats. Uribe’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 51 pounds, 13 ounces, was enough to earn him $80,838, including a new Ranger Z518C boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard.
