Lets see what the Metropolitan Water District (who is mostly funding the project) has done for water sheds in past years! One is MWD is located in southern California so that should be our first clue as what and who their alliance will be when it comes to making sure the delta is not harmed, drained...

Is this the same cross genetics that are in Camanchee? I had always heard that many of the fish there were a cross between a Spot and Smallmouth or a Spot and Largemouth but were referred to as Mules!

That is sort of what I am thinking, but you never know! That lake has been low enough for those big girls to be able to buffet on those schools of trout so it could be possible though not probable!

Where are you located? I would like to get a Spiralite glass rod in your hands just to give it a try. I throw 10X on the 7'6" MHFGlass and it is the bomb! You can really get the crank baits down and the rod is very lite so it does not totally wear you out!

Look at the delta as a river or series of narrow lakes, look for humps, cuts, depressions islands and fish them like you would fish a the same structure in a lake.
