Wilderness Systems Thresher 155 Kayak, +Extras $1100
I'm selling my Wilderness Systems Thresher 155. There's nothing at all wrong with it, bad shoulders forcing me out of it. I've added a couple of flush mount rod holders to it, and a rudder. The rudder has adjustable foot peg steering. There's tons of mounting track on this ride to mount as many item...

Re: Does a thief feel remorse ?
I would tend to think that if they felt remorse over their crimes, they would have stopped commiting them on their own, before they got caught. All the tears and pleas for leniency and apologies do nothing for me after they get caught. Show me a man who steals something, and then brings stolen stuff...

Re: GOVERNOR SIGNS "WARDEN'S STAMP"
So he signs this bill which establishes a special fund that is to be dedicated to procuring equipment and training for wardens. Cool. I'm all for well equipped and trained wardens. But, didn't he also just sign legislation into law specifically allowing the state to take money from specially dedicat...

Depending on where you are, that fish goes by different names. Rock bass and warmouth are the usual names. Growing up in Texas I always heard them called Goggle-eye. Taste like crappie, just not as big. Fun to catch.

Re: HOUSTON BASS
I grew up in Houston, and unless you want to drive a couple of hours or more, you'll be better off hitting the salt for some specks and reds. This time of the year produces the biggest specks you will see all year. Light bass tackle is perfect for them, and you can get them wading or from a boat. Gu...

Re: weird thing happen with trim while running
Check the trim switch on the side of the motor. The older onse have a rubber boot around the switch body, and it can rupture over time and allow water into the switch making up the contacts. I had the same thing happen, and it took forever to pin it down, and it eventually happened in the middle of ...

Re: Alley Cats on my Boat Cover - HELP
Have you tried to address this with the owners of the cats? They may not realize their animals are causing you problems and may be able to remedy the situation. Hopefully that will be the case. If you can not determine who the owners are, or get no satisfactory response to the damage the cats are ca...

Re: Line Question
I use a similar setup, but I skip the swivel and tie direct between the fluoro and braid. I found the swivel would put a bow in my leader killing the sensitivity. Also no swivel allows for a longer leader that can be re-tied on the hook end several times before you have to take the time to tie anoth...

Waiting list for me. I just realized that it was on Clear Lake. I thought it was going to be down south again. I guess that's what I get for not looking into it. Hopefully some more folks drop out so I can slide in there and give it a shot.

Re: Nice Move ABA and DFG???
It just seems like a waste to be using the few wardens that are out there to watch over a responsible group of anglers when they could be out busting the poachers that are damaging our wildlife populations But it's so much easier to jack up the folks who you know are 100% likely to be cooperative t...

Not really a tournament circuit or anything, but Wed. nights throughout the summer there is an informal turkey shoot at County Park. Show up at 5, fish till 9 or so. One fish limit, and tons of fun.

When you go catch some shallow water redfish, you just might not fish for bass anymore as long as you are there. Seriously.

Re: Fishing Maryland
I was stationed in Frederick at Fort Detrick back in the early 90's. There was some pretty good smallie fishing near there in the Potomac and the Monacacy rivers. Shore walking access is pretty good on the Potomac up there, and fair on the Monacacy. A little further upstream on the Potomac near Harp...

Larry, Sorry to hear about your dog. I know that really sucks. Way to go on not giving in to the smokes during that. About getting another Brit, rather than go straight to a breeder, take a look at the Brittany rescue org first. They place rescue dogs that are in trouble due to no fault of their own...

I was talking to a co-worker and he had heard somewhere along the line that there were alligator gar showing up in the delta. I did some Googling and found a record of one caught in the Clfton Court Forebay back in 1991, but we can't locate any other info. Have any of you Delta rats found any gar in...

Re: saw something GROSE on berryessa................
When the water is warm there, some of the trout can pick up a good bunch of parasites. I think you will see less and less wormy fish as the water gets colder. Of course, I could be wrong, but it seems the times I catch them all ate up like that are usually in the fall and late spring, but not in the...
