Looking to finally upgrade my trolling motor. Looking at specifically the Garmin, Lowrance, or Ultrex but probably leaning toward the Garmin as of now. I’ve read a few horror stories about all of them. Anybody out there recommend one over the other and why?

Bite is getting better at Pedro Derek, we got some decent fish there a few days ago (jigs, and dartheads). McClure is always good to catch some fish but if you want better quality try Melones. The bite has been great there for the last couple of weeks.

Just bought a 2003 Champ with a 175 HPDI on it a few months ago and so far I love the motor. It had 118 hours on it when I bought it and I have probably added about 10 more since then. Good fuel economy as long as I keep the RPMS under 4500 but I think this is pretty much the case with any outboard....

I don't know about falen leaf lake but there are bass in Tahoe. My boss used to have a place on the Tahoe keys and told me they caught bass off the dock. I did not believe him until he brought me in a pic of a 6 pounder they landed off the dock.

If you are looking at a tracker, I assume it is going to be rigged with a four stroke. You should have no problem trolling with a new four stroke motor. They idle real nice and do not load-up like an older two storoke might. Good luck with the new boat.
